We where recommended this restaurant by the owner of the great B&B we we're staying in(The Pearl) The AKASH is only a small restaurant located upstairs at 76 Topping street, Blackpool but don't let this put you off! We ordered a chicken Jalfrezi, chicken tika masala & chicken nuggets & chips for my son along with poppadoms , naan bread,... More

As previous reviewers explained, the decor seriously needs updating, but the rest of the dining experience made up for that. The owner is extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. I know of many Indian restaurants that would do well to learn done customer service skills from these guys. The food is very well priced, chosen from a fairly small menu. I'd... More

I've recently enjoyed numerous Indian meals in a variety of restaurants and this is without doubt the worst located, most unappealing and least promising one by a mile! Boy you can't judge a book by its cover, what Akash delivers is what you go out hoping for, good service, good food and a warm welcome. And the overall experience? In... More

At first sight you wouldn't be impressed, but.... Lovely, friendly staff, amazing food, great service and cheap as. The decor is outdated and not that nice but for the price you pay it's all amazing. Totally would go again. Lovely service.

This hidden gem of an Indian restaurant is really worth searching for. After being given inaccurate directions by the Spice Lounge restaurant owner who at 5.30pm was closing up (we found this unbelievable especially on a Saturday evening in Blackpool), we eventually found it using TripAdvisor and Maps. The restaurant is situated upstairs so disabled patrons wouldn't be able to... More

We visited Akash over the bank holiday weekend and can't fault it one bit. The food was lovely. Service was a little slow as they were very busy but they did keep apologising for this. We ordered chicken korma & garlic beef with rice - everything we ordered was very tasty and it was great value for money. We will... More
