In planning a day in Blackpool. I checked Trip Advisor for best fish and chip restaurant. Previously, Seniors had been our favourite but was not showing so well this time, so we decided on Yorkshire Fisheries as this seemed to be the top. First impressions, from outside, were not good, and the inside environment wasn't brilliant: it was OK but... More

Thank you for your honest feedback. I am glad you were happy with the service and the meal you received. I appreciate the comments about the frontage and inside iof the building. As you are aware, the building is very old and we are currently planning renovations/alterations to the property, so hopefully, you will notice some changes should you choose... More

Fantastic wee chippy, hubby and I have been using this any time we have been in Blackpool and have never been dissatisfied. If I remember correctly it was 6.99 for cod, chips, mushy peas,bread/butter and tea. Cooked to perfection as usual.

A group of of friends and I went for tea before we went to a show on Friday. We had the best fish and chips ever. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone but the special haddock/cod in batter, chips peas, bread and butter with tea and coffee is highly recommended. The owner made us very welcome and... More

Ate here yesterday teatime. Had king size cod and chips, mushy peas and bread n butter. Had the choice of lightly battered or regularly battered. Wish I had lightly battered because the regular came just a bit too dark and crispy which made for a slightly bitter taste. Inside the fish was nice and flaky. The mushy peas was almost... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We always offer the choice of having the regular amount of batter or the lightly battered option. When a king size fish is ordered, because of the thickness of the fish, we always aim to make sure the fish is fully cooked and this may be why you felt the... More

Been going to the Yorkshire Fisheries for years and have always had an excellent meal in there, the fish are always cooked to perfection and the chips are the best I've tasted. We never go anywhere else as the staff are really nice. Excellent value for money too!
