Despite claims by other local chip-shops, this is the best. Almost every chip-shop has won some award or other for being the best, but, they can't all be the best can they? Great chips, light batter on the fish & all freshly cooked to order. Don't ask for deep fried 'Mars' bars, though, they don't do them..!

This place is close to the town center it serves good food at reasonable prices. Have dined here a few times and enjoyed it every time ( fish and chips with mushy peas is great value and is found on the specials board )

It is usually quiet in here these days but the service is always very good and very friendly. I have been using the Yorkshire Fisheries for many years. I always feel welcome there and that helps a lot.

My husband and I found the Yorkshire fisheries online whist looking for a good traditional fish and chip restaurant to visit after watching our away match against Blackpool. We were surprised when we stumbled upon the restaurant as we thought given its great history it would be better sign-posted to attract the tourists as I am sure if you didn't... More

Warm welcoming staff. Food was lovely. Batter was a little greasy for my taste but each to their own. Excellent value for money. The restaurant could do with updating but that's the only real negative.

Once again it didn't disappoint. Fish absolutely fantastic. So fresh. Chips and Mushy Peas good as well. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend 100%.
