I was in a party of thirty for afternoon tea. Enough sandwiches to eat but nothing really special about it. The scones were over cooked and quite hard, but served with cream and jam. The restaurant is obviously very popular however.

Had afternoon tea for two with a huge assortment of sandwiches, two extra large warm scones with jam and cream, two huge slices of cake, pot of tea for two and two glasses of pimms, altogether delicious and more than enough food to satisfy my husband who doesn't really understand the concept of afternoon tea as the last time we... Just been for lunch at Dahlia's. Both my husband and I ordered fish, chips and peas. The fish was in edible and the bread was stale. We've been before, had other food and been happy with that.

Brought my family here as a treat, booked in advance to find when we got there that they hadnt booked the right amount of people in. Then they didnt have any scones left for us but they did for the people who were in after us. Staff dont listen to anything you say and are very rude! They dont no... More

Visited for afternoon tea today with 3 relatives as a little treat. Little was not the word to be used. A beautifully arranged 3 tier cake stand was used to tempt our palette. On the bottom we had a selection of delicately cut sandwiches. In the middle we had fresh scones hot from the oven with pots of raspberry jam... More

We arrived just after 15.30 and they watched us peruse the menu and choose what we wanted before refusing to take an order for 2 omelettes, telling us we were too late for food, which stopped at 15.30

My 1st visit last week & certainly wont be my last! I was treated to afternoon tea with a friend & without a doubt the best ive had! ( and believe me i've had many throughout the UK) the quality of the filling in the sandwiches was great especially Dahlia's ham - off the bone. A giant warm scone served... More

We called for breakfast it was simply awful........ Burnt bacon , deep fried budget sausage , cold beans, toast like (french toast) cold and burnt.dirty cutlery , chipped crockery and the cup of tea that accompanied the food was dreadful . The refund was no quibble ...that was the best bit !

My sister in law treated me to afternoon tea, the portions are very generous, we couldn't finish the cakes so they kindly boxed the rest for us to take away. The scones are the best I've ever tasted and they were still warm when we tucked into them 20 mins after being served and we were sat outside! The staff... More
