Went for an evening meal and the whole experience was delightful. Lovely setting, intimate dining room and warm enthusiastic service. Wonderful food created with a light touch of humour and surprisingly good value for money at that standard. Clearly all the other diners were also enjoying the evening. Reccomended for a special occasion.

Visited on Sunday for lunch and was not disappointed. From the attentive staff on arrival through to the chocolate dessert, everything was superb. Alistair (or Alexander, sorry not sure) was brilliant at explaining each course. Now what made it was that just a bland, boring presentation he joined in with the banter and conversation with our table. This made it... More

Food was absolutely fabulous each dish got better than the previous one The service was 2nd to none. I had the £65.00 5 course menu and it was worth every penny attention to detail by the staff and the food was excellent A truly wonderful experience from booking on the phone to eating the meal Will definitely return

Arrived and walked in, looked really nice, lovely view over the lake from the terrace. went and sat down in large room, with a few sofas and tables. introduced our selves.... More

We arrived to find that we were the only guests for lunch so we had the lounge, the dining room and the staff to ourselves. Sadly, we couldn't enjoy the view as it was pouring outside but the food more than made up for it. We had the tasting menu which was excellent, a hugely enjoyable experience with every course... Recently had lunch here and unfortunately was somewhat disappointed. Had expected that the Michelin Star would guarantee a better than average meal but sadly this was not the case. The food was fine but not what I have experienced in other fine dining establishments. An overall air of pretentiousness and gimmicky aspects to the menu spoiled the overall experience. The... More
