My wife spotted the Cafe when we were passing on a bus, she said look thats the place that was on that TV program "The Lakes" I looked around and recognised the lady who owns it with her husband serving a customer, so when we got off of the bus we went back to be nosey and have a cup... More

Compact little cafe, pleasant & appealing. We had bacon butties & juice outside in their little courtyard. Lovely. Made fresh to order. Very friendly staff. Excellent value AND dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We have visited this tea shop ever since it opened and have always found the service to be excellent. The special offers are excellent "Bacon sandwich & tea/coffee for £3.50" was too tempting to pass up. They have a good selection of treats to tempt pretty much everyone so if you are looking for somewhere to eat/drink in Windermere that... More

Our second visit to this unpretentious little café set in a side street of this busy Lakeland village. We visited initially following the proprietors efforts to achieve her dream being featured on a national TV channel. A few years down the line we made our second visit following our trip up to the Lakes from Surrey. The standards are as... More

Popped in here for a coffee and cake. I was pleased to see they offered decaf as an option. Cakes were lovely and homemade. Extremely friendly and most helpful. Will go again.

We popped in this place for a nice cool drink and a sandwich which was served with handmade crisps of our choice. The staff are very friendly and the food/snack was very good too. This cafe is right i the heart of windermere so a few cars passing by to spoil it a bit but other than that it was... More

Delicious bacon and the best sticky toffee pudding money can buy. Great atmosphere and wholesome food. Better than the Lamplighter. Deserves to be rated higher

Bramble the spaniel was with us on our shopping trip to Windermere - we saw the cafe was dog friendly so we just had to give it a go. We were warmly greeted, Bramble was given a bowl of water and we had a superb soup and Bacon sarnie combo. Very friendly staff and customers.. we will be back..

Lovely cosy and welcoming teashop. Excellent food and friendly service. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner. The sort of place you can pop into for a chat if you are on your own. Excellent!!
