Stopped here somewhat randomly and we were glad we did. The service was great, as was the food - apricot flapjack especially! Thoroughly recommended.

We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast here 2 mornings and the service and food are super. Ok the plate could be a little larger but the coffee is limitless and to be fair the portion is sufficient to fill you up for the day ahead. The owners are really welcoming and attentive, we'd definitely go back xx

Returned after a two year break and found the greeting still warm and friendly! Excellent food (especially the soup and the bacon sandwiches mmm!) coffee served with a little biscuit, not seen much in the UK! The prices are excellent and it good to see so many regulars there, recommendation in itself.

We needed a light lunch and were served a good sandwich with a little side salad and a bag of crisps. We received a warm welcome and the service was good.

Called in for lunch on a warm sunny day. Owner very friendly & apologetic that they had run out of baguettes. We both had sandwiches, mine was cheese & pickle. Was refreshing that the cheeses tasted of cheese not like some places that serve cheap tasteless stuff. Nice touch was the side salad and bag of crisps. Lovely hot coffee... More

We were staying in Windermere and had seen brambles on a TV program on the Lake District, so wanted to visit the tea room. We were made very welcome on entering, and decided on a piece of fruit cake, a flapjack (both home-made) and a pot of tea. They were all very good and pot of tea was very large,... More

Staff very friendly, inside clean, quick service, however we ordered a brambles breakfast which is served on a small plate inbetween a dinner plate and side plate, consited of cheap sliced bread/toast, 1 fried egg, one very small sausage, 3 rashers of bacon, and a heaped desert spoon of beans. Also had a portion of cheese on toast ( more... More
