Scrummy cake

Narrow by name but not tiny plenty of seating, even a couple of tables outside for the hardy sort on a blowy day like today. Just stopped in for coffee and cake which was delicious. They all looked good but we plumped for lemon drizzle cake, the server said it was good and she was right.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Narrowbar Cafe. One of us had the traditional ploughman's plate and the other a Mexican-inspired sweet potato quesadilla dish. Both were delicious. The service was friendly and helpful, the setting relaxed, the prices very reasonable. We would happily come back any time.

Recently visited this little cafe and have to say their Chocolate Fudge Cake was amazing! I asked to have it warmed up and the ladies serving obliged straight away, no questions asked! Great service and a lovely little cafe! Would I recommend? YES! :) Thank you!

As my wife is from the area we decided to visit her Mum who lives in Penrith. We popped into this café as I was feeling peckish and ordered what was described on the menu as a monster breakfast when this arrived it must of been the child's version of what I would class as a standard sized breakfast 1... We were recommended this cafe by a shopkeeper in Penrith and it is really worth a visit. A warm and friendly welcome was matched by lovely coffee. We will return next time we are in Penrith.

We were recommended the Narrowbar by a shop assistant when we were looking for somewhere to have a decent coffee. We had a lovely strong cup of Lavazza coffee and the best date slice I've ever tasted. The breakfast and brunch looked good too and everything is very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

I popped in for a scone and drink the other day and it was fantastic. the scone was so soft on the inside yet it had a crisp outside - just how I like it. I've previously been for a sandwiches and the curly fries are to die for. I will definitely be returning.

We always make a special effort to visit this wonderful cafe when we are staying in nearby Ullswater and are never disappointed. The food and service are always top notch and as a family of 6 vegetarians that is praise indeed. Keep it up!
