You might think you've arrived at the wrong place when you pull up and even after you have wandered through the small garden centre but if you climb the steps up to the café in the back you won't be disappointed. Greeted by friendly staff, the place has a far warmer feel than most garden centre eateries. The menu had... More

A cafe by day time and then on Friday and Saturday evenings a restaurant. The food uses local ingredients and is consistently good. The evening menus are more adventurous - try one of the 5 course tasting menus if available. If you are vegetarian or have any special dietary requirements contact them in advance and a special meal will be... More

It's tucked away at the back of Hazel Dene Garden Centre in Culgaith. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu is, unfortunately very poor for veggies, I had a very tasty cheese toasty with delicious home made chips and salad. The Only reason I wouldn't return is how limited the menu is for veggies. I'm Sure I'd you're meat... More

We went for my Dad's birthday back in December and it really was one of the best meals I have ever had. Delicious food, stunning presentation, great sized portions, good wine, excellent friendly service all in a lovely relaxed setting. We've booked again for my brother's birthday this month and we are counting down the days!!

Even though they were busy service was quick and friendly. Varied choice on menu but the lunch time special at £6.00 is great. Broccoli and Stilton soup with fresh bread, just wonderful followed by bacon, egg, tomato and chips what more could you want all very good. Took home some date and treacle tart, made with real treacle not syrup... More

Lovely helpful staff and great with my gluten free diet. The mushroom soup was exceptionally good. They have a special menu for £6 which was soup and bread (not gluten free unfortunately) then home cooked beef and homemade chips cooked in freshly for me in fresh oil. They adapted this menu for my vegetarian friend and made her omelette. All... More

my friends and I called in for lunch, there was a comprehensive menu which the chief explained he could adapt most things to suit a gluten free diet. Enough choice also for vegetarian tastes and a wiliness to adapt and change-- off menu -- to our delight. The daily special was excellent value for money, and was adapted for vegetarian... More

Visited on Saturday night and had one of the best meals we've ever had. Had 3 courses and all were exceptional and complimented by the excellent service.
