Had a family meal here last Friday evening as we were in the Lake District for a family wedding. The food was absolutely delicious. Couldn't fault anything. The food was first class, there was a great ambience within the pub. The fresh tuna was superb and three of our party enjoyed a fab beef curry. Would really recommend this place... More

An excellent evening meal in a very pleasant country style pub. An added bonus was the wide range of Jennings hand-pull beers. We tried the mushrooms and pate for starters and had duck and Cumberland sausage on mash for mains. All very tasty and thoroughly recommended. Would certainly visit again and worth the short walk from town.

This is the 3rd time we have eaten here in the last two years and once again found no fault with anything that we had. If I was to change anything, and I am being fussy, I would like a little chutney with the cheese board. I opted for cod and chorizo fish cakes, followed by a roasted salmon steak... More

During our weeks stay in Keswick we dined on two evenings. We don't often go to a venue twice, but the food was so good on the first visit we decided to pay another visit at the end of our holiday. On both occasions the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The beer was a pure... More

Place was very full of usual Lakeland visitors and the atmosphere was good/noisy but unfortunately the service & quality of food were disappointing - we'll give it a miss next time as Keswick has a lot to choose from.

Whenever we visit the lake district we always stop off and have a meal in the pheasant. On this visit we thought the food was quiet bland and the prices had gone up so was a little disapointed. The pub is really nice and the staff very friendly its a shame it didn't match our many other visits .

We eat at The Pheasant on two consequtive nights . Why two nights on the trot? Because we were delighted with the food and the service on the first night. As well as having the usual favouites on the menu the pub has a well featured specials board which changes daily. Drink and food prices were reasonable and parking is... More

I stayed in the Lairbeck hotel around the corner and The Pheasant was a great place to relax from a day of hiking, driving or just sight seeing without having to worry about driving back to the hotel. The staff were friendly and great to talk to and the food was filling and well made.

Went to the Pheasant Inn on the recommendation of friends and can't say how pleased we were with the overall dining experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was extremely good and the service was brilliant. Would have definitely dined there again if we hadn't have had to go home, but will make sure of a return visit when... More

Glad we booked a table as it was packed. Ate here whilst on holiday in the Lake District and so pleased we did. Lovely mix of Cumbrian old fashioned pub with top quality retaurant food....best of both worlds. Service really good too. Not particularly cheap pub food prices but you gt what you pay for.
