Nothing flash but reasonable quality pub grub. We had lamb shank which was beautiful and a steak which was cooked exactly how we asked for it. Kids meals were reasonable too. Booking highly recommended and appreciated being asked if we minded the live music starting before we had finished eating

The Farmers Arms is a nice, friendly pub and is clearly very popular with locals and holidaymakers. Was just so disappointed with my meal - chicken in a white wine and tarragon sauce, with new potatoes and vegetables. It's difficult to find anything positive to say about it - the chicken was bland and rubbery, the sauce tasted disgusting and... More

We walked past this pub, and it looked lovely, unfortunately they had stopped serving food. So we went back in the evening. The beer was good, that was the only plus. One of the party had scampi. It was OK, but the cooking oil tasted stale. However the Chicken and Ham pie was the worst think I have ever been... More

This pub is in a great spot in the Lakes. We had a friendly welcome and the service was good. My partner loved her Chicken and Leek pie and my Lamb Henry was amazing! If I'd been at home I'd have definitely licked the plate!

Me and my partner visited this pub after our local hotel told us we weren't able to dine at their restaurant due to a large party of walkers. After being very annoyed by this we then became happy they had otherwise we wouldn't of sampled this delightful pub. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the menu was very extensive... More

A very popular pub with visitors and locals alike. The food is lovely and portions are large! The staff are very friendly. Would be advisable to book to avoid disappointment.

Good food and friendly welcome. What more do you need from a local pub? The pub was always busy and it's advisable to book a table especially at bank holidays.

We ate twice at the Farmer's Arms and found it to have good pub food, friendly service and reasonable prices. The fish and chips was excellent, the Cumberland sausage good and the Chicken and Bacon pie also good. We bought a bottle of red wine for £13.95 and the two of us ate a full meal plus the wine for...
