Dont go in if you are in a hurry!

Visited this café for a quick lunch and spent over an hour in there most of it waiting to be served! One couple walked out complaining very loudly how long they had waited. Another table of six received their drinks and food over about a half hour period. When the waitress eventually got to us... read more

Popped in here for some lunch whilst visiting Keswick during a tour of the Lakes. Firstly I wasn’t that taken with Keswick, plenty of places to eat but nothing stood out... except this place. The strategically placed cakes and sweet delights in the window tempted me in. It’s a quirky little place – a bakery come bistro come gift shop.... More

Popped in here during bank holiday weekend and just had to come on here to tell the world how good it is! A most unusual, charming hybrid of a cafe and emporium - you can sit at the tables and marvel at the pretty decor full of vintage bric a brac and all sorts of lovely goodies. And that's before... AS per other reviews this is a quirky little tea shop, that does sell some quite nice crafts/ gifts etc but is it very very cluttered. We came for evening meal, the lady there ( the owner?) had very little to say, not even a smile. The food was very average. We both had steak, quite tough to cut and even worse... More

17 Again is a really quirky little cafe which offers a unique experience in Keswick. From the moment we walked in, we entered into an ethereal space and seriously felt transported back in time. Quirky often means not to majority tastes; but even if you are not blown in on a gentle waft and entranced by the assortment of trinkets... More

Despite there being only 1 table before us we had to wait 20 minutes before we were approached. Sister in law had a panini, brother in law a hot Swiss open & I had a bruschetta. All came on identical panini style rolls. Nice enough but I had chosen to ciabatta to avoid panini. After ordering there was another long... More

But seriously, a lovely little tea room which I visited twice. Once with a friend who introduced me to it and then later in the week on my own. Pretty things to buy, and good old fashioned courtesy. The food on both occasions was delicious and freshly prepared. Special mention must go to Sam, the young waitress who served us.... More

Called in today- never again! Despite there only being two other customers when we arrived, service was very slow. No atmosphere, most depressing background music and quite chilly. The waitress didn't seem very happy in her work- or was that just because of the way she slammed knives, forks and food on the table?!The menu praised it's homemade soup, but... More
