Booked for 15 for us. The service was absolutely spot on and we got our food and drinks really quickly. The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was great and everyone left very happy. Not sure where others have been eating but not overpriced at all.

I'm surprised by other less than favourable reviews. We visited here about 2 weeks ago on a busy Saturday evening. We had a very enjoyable meal. We picked a chicken tikka Balti with garlic naan and a chicken rogan josh with pilau rice. Both dishes were very good and the portions were generous with plenty of meat. The curries were... More

Perhaps being the only 'Indian' cuisine restaurant may have an effect. I'm vegetarian so cannot comment on non vegetarian food. The food was stale and even after complaining the same as reheated and brought back. Not good. The price is high. As the title says best avoided or you can take your chance and may get lucky.

Had checked reviews on Tripadvisor and it said folk were disappointed but we still decided to pay a visit. Looked at the menu from outside and decided it be best not to eat here unless we took out a bank loan!! Even the basic curry was nearly £10 - redic. Not surprisingly the restaurant was empty and that was a... More

We ordered a takeaway , ordered two starters chicken tikka and onion bhaji all small in size , chicken tikka mossalla small amount of meat and sauce was unbelievably bland like a korma , rice and a garlic naan bread and it came to over £ 22 .., expensive for what we received and basically a poor meal , would... Four popadums and chutney, two main dishes, two plain rice, one veg side dish, two cokes and two pints of Becks came to over £50 without service. When I queried the bill I was asked which part of the country was I from; I said we are from Surrey, at which point I was informed Keswick is a lot more... More

This is now the only Indian restaurant in Keswick, and was probably always the best. We started with pappadoms and pickles, these were 70/80p each. At our local tandoori restaurant these are complimentary! Followed by chicken tikka Balti, which was very nice, and I decided to have something completely different, salmon tikka Jalfrezi, which was lovely but not quite as... More

Balti tikka garlic 5/5 Not overly hot, medium means medium yet nicely spiced. As good as any takeaway in my hometown Newcastle. Have eaten here several times (restaurant and takeaway) and will visit again.

Ate here on 11th October. Very busy and had to queue despite booking so we thought this indicated a good restarurant. Poppadums were stale. Chicken was tough and looked as though it had been dropped into the sauce at the last minute. Very poor and ovepriced. The friends we were with have eaten here on visits in the past and... More
