We made this a coffee and cake stop during our Christmas holidays and were not disappointed. When we got there mid morning, the placed was packed. We ordered 2 cappuccinos and 2 of the lovely homemade cakes, which were delicious. We will return and we would absolutely recommend.

We were delighted to be able to reserve a table via email prior to our visit. We all thoroughly enjoyed our all day breakfast which included locally sourced produce. We returned later in the day for hot bowls of soup and delicious cakes, The atmosphere was lovely, small tables to eat at and comfy sofas next to the log burner... More

This a favourite of mine in Kendal. Always busy at lunchtime and popular with locals. They always deliver and I love all the cakes they have on offer, all made on site of course. The decor is lovely and always warm and inviting. Can't wait for my next visit.

After spending a day visiting Windermere and Bowness we decided to take the scenic route back to Kendal and called into this cafe. The two ladies made us very welcome and the choice of food on the menu was quite varied., the cafe is small but very comfortable. We chose to have afternoon tea which was delightful, the scones being... More

A very healthy and good quality eating experience. I like the menu as it combines a good portion but well prepared, and of good quality. Child friendly. Specialist shopping on site. Can be busy, justifiably so. Good parking; which for Kendal makes it very attractive.

I usually go here at the weekends as a treat. The burgers are great and the cakes are amazing. I love he tiffin and the Victoria sponge. The staff are always so polite which is why I support this place. I don't think I've ever had a bad or average experience here. Definitely recommend.

The Two Sisters at Plumgarths is run by a very dedicated Polish family who daily produce some very delicious home made food, we often visit most weeks and enjoy home made soup with a fresh bread roll, there are also a choice of very delicious sweets. Well worth a visit on your way to the lakes.

Early Saturday morning and already busy - a good sign ! Had the full English breakfast - two sausages, sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, two rashers of bacon, an egg, baked beans and scummy toast and a bucket of latte. All cooked fresh in front of you with polite, helpful service. Well done and will be calling in again
