We regularly eat at the 2 sisters cafe. Magda and Monika always give you a very warm welcome , provide a relaxed atmosphere and are excellent cooks . Whatever we choose to eat we're never disappointed. In the morning the breakfast is superb. Their is a varied lunch menu, including a choice of thick tasty soups which are excellent value... More

Dear ali b, I'm really sorry again for that situation, You showed me a small fly (no bug!) and still alive! on your salad leaf. That very surprised me, as I've explained you, we use prewashed sealed salad leafes, and don't really know how possible anything could get into, but I did apologised for that, also what I didn't tell... Went here on the strength of reviews and they are quite right. Lovely place to have lunch. The staff are very pleasant, friendly and helpful. I had chicken burger after which I couldn't eat anything else and my wife had tuna salad which was a huge plateful of excellent quality food. Needless to say, we hope to return.

Visited the 2 Sisters Café yesterday for the first time - what a find!! The food was lovely - Panini and cake/desert with fabulous coffee. The cakes are gorgeous - I don't think I've seen a chocolate cake so deep. Well worth a visit - we will certain return - only 10 minutes from home.

The afternoon tea here is one of the best we've had. Don't look for petite and elegant sandwiches, but do expect extremely fresh and very tasty fare, on wholesome hand-cut bread. The scones were light - but filling - and the cakes very obviously home-made, and delicious. The white chocolate and elderflower cake, and the lemon meringue pie are highly... More

The 2 sisters café is situated just off the main road from M6 junction 36 to Windermere, tucked away in Plumgarth which has a farm shop and gift shop as well. It has ample free parking which is quite a bonus for the Lake District. The café is, not surprisingly, run by two sisters who produce some excellent food. It... More

The service off the 2 ladies is excellent. The choice is very good considering how small this place is..the coffee is perfect and the apple pie although it doesn't look anything special............is devine. Table are well layed out and there is seating outside when the sun is shining. My 2 year old loves the sausages on the cooked breakfast that... More

We found this place by accident and were very pleased with it. The food was delicious I had quiche and salad, the quiche is probably the best I've ever had. The cakes were good too although no room for me! The service was good and reasonably priced. The farm shop next door is excellent and can thoroughly recommend the pork... More

'The 2 sisters cafe' is a great place to dine in Kendal. It offers delicious food and very cheerful and friendly hosts. We stopped there on 2 occasions and the quality of the food was excellent - the best full English breakfast we have ever had. It was very early in the morning so no problems with getting a seat....
