Stopped in here on a busy afternoon on Wednesday. The cafe itself is only small but they do have some outside seating. They do take reservations though, so if you're dead set on trying this place, book! We grabbed two sandwiches and drinks from the chill counter and you can't fault them. It's all made from Plumgarths produce and it's... More

With so many businesses offering afternoon teas at present, it can be a difficult choice. We visit several in the area and decided to try the 2 sisters cafe at Plumgarths. Cosy setting, friendly staff and what can only be described as delicious food. From the lovely fresh sandwiches, to scones with all the trimmings and choice of homemade cakes... More

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor we stopped off at The 2 Sisters Cafe for breakfast at the start of our weekend visit to the Lakes and we were not disappointed. We arrived about 10 minutes after opening and ordered full English breakfasts. Everything was cooked fresh to order and the produce was of a really high standard. Even though... More

As with many motorway travellers, one finds the service station food expensive and unimaginative. Whilst it is quite a detour from the M6, this is a terrific place to stop off at if time permits. If there is one complaint, it is that, due to its popularity and highly rated food, it is somewhat overcrowded and we found it difficult... More

We enjoyed an early lunch visit to this busy cafe which is part of a farm shop/artisan bakery complex. We tried the full breakfast and it was delicious. Good prices, an extensive menu and very pleasant staff. If you are near Kendal do try this out of the way cafe.

A great find - wonderful food and service. Cakes to die for. Plus a Farm Shop that sells Toffee Vodka - what's not to love!!
