Stopped here a few times whilst holidaying in the area and have never been disappointed. Not the most extensive menu, but what there is is lovely and fresh and the service is first class - just try to save room for the wonderful cakes. It's always busy which is never a bad sign, but we have always seemed to get... More

Was impressed by reviews and it lived up to expectation - wonderful afternoon tea package - large selection of generous and delicious cakes - great cup of tea - all at a really surprising value for money price - highly recommend and love to return

The cafe is very often busy and always well run by the charming sisters and their gang - it's a bit dear when compared to the awful cheap rubbish you can buy at Greggs etc, but well worth it as their sandwiches are really good and their soups are fantastic. I'd eat here rather than the neighbouring pub any day.

Visited Two Sisters for the first time - quality of food , ambience , cleanliness all top notch . Had Pea & Ham soup with genuine sourdough bread and lemon meringue to finish - was very busy and can understand why - this local jewel is no longer a secret !

We decided to visit the Two Sisters cafe as we were staying at centre parcs, whinfell forest, but had a birthday to celebrate. A bit of a drive but well worth it! The service was quick and the food delicious..... The bread was really, really yummy. We were advised by the staff to come after 2.30 to avoid the dinner... More

Found this café by accident just off the roundabout on the way to Kendal. Great find as the place was spacious and clean and the staff were cheerful and helpful. Soup was some of the best that I have had - also my favourite so I am biased - my partner had the Quiche which was huge and both were... More

We stopped off on our way to Windermere for soup - very tasty. I had the pea and ham and my partner the Mediterranean veg and we couldn't decide which was better! We also had a slice of home made cake (moist and delicious) and tea. Friendly efficient service and well worth a visit.

We visited this afternoon after all the good recommendations, a small atmospheric cafe, today having the pate, with a tea and scone to finish, all well presented and very tasty, all the food on surrounding 'full' tables looked excellent too! With the advantage of the butchers & artisan breads to buy as you depart.
