We googled to find somewhere for breakfast and the Joshua tree sounded the most interesting. It is located in central Kendal, close to multi-storey carpark on the main shopping street, but is in an picturesque enclosed courtyard off the street, where you could be transported back in time. We were warmly welcomed and loved the interior of this old building... More

Once again fantastic food from the Joshua tree, we often visit in the day and can't recommend highly enough beautiful home cooked food, excellent value, friendly atmosphere and service. This visit was a birthday meal on sat evening and exceeded all expectations with personal touches like happy birthday written on plate. The star of the night had to be the... More

Stopped here for breakfast on the way home from the lakes. I liked the fact you could choose what you wanted on your breakfast. There was 6 of us and we all had something different. Food was quick and cooked nice. Friendly waitress.

I seem to be getting good at seeking out little places, hidden out of the way. I came here on the recommendation of my 9 year old nephew. I had a delicious salmon & prawn sandwich with a side order of chunky chips (very generous portion). My nephew had goujons and chips. He can be a picky eater but he... More

My husband and I were taken here by friends for lunch (6/5/2015) whilst visiting Kendal, the food was excellent and at a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and the place was clean and an ideal place to eat. It was our first time eating here but I hope it won't be the last.

Visited here for lunch last week. Very friendly place with home made good food. Plenty of choice and specials board at discounted price. Outdoor tables as it was a lovely day. Would definitely recommend and we will go back on our next visit to Kendal.
