The only reason this place doesn't get the highest rating is because the breaded chicken goujons were overcooked, that is the ONLY reason. This place is fab otherwise, cute, quaint decor (but not squished) really good friendly and attentive but not pushy staff. They could not do enough, the food was lovely, the kids actually ate their meals for once,... More

Whilst in Kendal we were looking for a dog friendly cafe for coffee and cake. Happened upon The Joshua Tree. Received a great welcome and enjoyed some great latte's and some lovely cakes from the "naughty corner". Our dog had some fresh water and a treat! Hope one day to return to sample an evening meal!

Just what we needed to set up our trip to Windermere and a 4 hour bike ride. My BF and I both ordered the big breakfasts with coffees. I had the veggie option which was delightfully surprising as a decent veggie breaky is hard to come by. Both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and cleaned our plates.

We stopped for a late lunch and as it was quite sunny decided to sit outside in the courtyard although others headed inside as it was a bit breezy. Jars of flowers on the tables were jolly and a nice touch. It's a few years since we've eaten here, I suppose it's the location, tucked away from the main shopping... More

Visited on Saturday night with my husband and daughter. Such a warm welcome and the food was very nice. My 7 year old daughter thought the place was amazing too :)

Tucked away this restaurant is well worth seeking out. The food was excellent and the staff/owners/managers were superb at providing food that met our Gluten free/milk free diets. Well worth a visit if you are in Kendal.
