courtyard lunch

The food is good and service excellent but I only go if the weather is good so that I can sit with my dog in the outside courtyard. Wheelchair access is good

I am not going to bleat on about sour, poor, slow service and rubber chips but unfortunately its all true this place has really gone OFF. The only thing I can think of is Booths have leased out the restaurant on some sort of franchise deal to some one else. If this is so booths should get there name removed... More

I reviewed this town centre restaurant more than two years ago, commenting on both good food and brisk, cheerful service. I went again very recently, and feel compelled to revise my views. Three of us went for a late lunch, when the restaurant was almost empty but still more than adequately staffed. The food was just fine - as good... More

I had the best eggs benedict I've ever had, having had this in several other establishments across the country in recent years. The service was good and the cafe was very attractive with excellent furniture. If I had a niggle, I thought the knife was a tad heavy! In all, I enjoyed the meal and thought it was excellent value.

We used to visit regular but had not been for quite a while and were disappointed to find they were still using the same reduced size menu with no alteration to dishes offered this being the reason I chose a veggie club sandwich which came with chips. The sandwich was huge and not really my type of food, the chips... More

Have just started eating here recently and have to say the food is very good, my experience has been very positive and even when it has been busy we havn,t had to wait long for seating, last time was a Saturday lunch time which you expect to be busy and the staff member explained that it may take a while... I had waxed lyrical to my friend about this place and always visit both here and Lytham whenever I can. I made a special journey to go here and spent that journey extolling the virtues of it. The place has started to look a bit run down. The table was covered in salt and the waitress said oh it must... More

I am a great supporter of Booths. I support the supermarket every time I shop and enjoy the experience, quality and wonderful staff. This restaurant was a model of excellence some years ago and we would proudly bring visitors from all over the UK and overseas. This restaurant needs an efficient manager please! To be greeted after a wait at... More

Oh dear what has happened to Artisan, used to be one of my favourite places - not any more. We wanted to order the Northern Rarebit but they had run out of bread - hello you are part of a supermarket!! Opted for a ham and mustard sandwich (yes they had the bread for this, go figure) both arrived, my... More

I stopped going to this place 7 years ago due to the poor service. I had to park nearby today so decided to give it a try. The three of us were shown to a table and left there. With four staff in the "restaurant" and only six tables occupied they should have been able to cope- but they were... More
