Really good food

We had a lovely meal, early evening, with friends here on more than one occasion. Home made food was from a very unusual and varied menu. Friendly service and very reasonable prices for such good quality.

I ate in here one evening whilst staying in Kendal and the food was excellent. It was incredibly reasonably priced and the service was spot on. I'm only sorry I didn't have enough change on me to leave a decent tip! Sorry, I'll have to come back another time!

Visited Pumpkins on a Saturday lunch time and had a couple of jacket potatoes and some drinks. The place is a nice welcoming spot and the food appeared all home cooked and well presented. Would definitely visit again....

I had a good lunch from their specials board. Lovely home cooked food. Very central in Kendal but not on 'the main drag' so prices were very reasonable. Only had the main course but there was a good selection of desserts on their menu and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely return.

Visited as a couple on a snowy January night. The food was delicious and home cooked. We only had a main course, but it was reasonably priced and the service was very friendly

Enjoyed a good lunch here but not exactly sure I'd call it a bistro nor would I say the food was inline with bistro food I've experienced before. Service was attentive and food was delivered piping hot. You could tell the food was fresh and home made. This is a plus and it didn't taste like pub food either. Prices... More

We accidentally ended up here as we changed our mind after going into another restaurant and seeing how busy it was. I am so glad we ended up here instead as the other place does not compare. The food is inexpensive and really good quality. We had fabulous homemade soup which was excellent, the bread was good ad we had... More

Pumpkins bistro offers a range of food from snacks to full meals and also offers light bites such as muffins, toast and cakes. It great for tcafe snacks or a full meal. it spacious and table service means it's relaxing as no queuing at counter, just sit down, relax and be served. Despite the table service prices are low and... More

Mid-range prices but an unusual menu. I certainly would go back and try other options - I had the Mediterranean chicken and it was tasty. It is not open every night for dinner, so check before you go.
