Want somewhere special to take family and friends to? You will not be disappointed at the Strickland Arms. The food is freshly cooked and they provide a fantastic range across their menu. Lunch or dinner - this is a great place to head for. The staff are welcoming and when we went recently we had not booked but just called... More

We were a bit disappointed with the restuarnt manger, not allowing you to sit at tables to drink, especially when he put reserved signs out no them, in the two hours we were in no one sat at these tables.. The bar man was very professional and efficient to say he was the only one behind the bar..

We met friends here recently and enjoyed a relaxing, leisurely lunch together. Very pleasant atmosphere, good local beers and bar food well above the average. Good value for money.

Booked for Mothers Day. Confirmed the booking by email. When we turned up there was no record of our booking! "We'll see what we can do" After this inauspicious start I expected the worst. However the beer was on good form and the food was quite good. The Strick had bigged up Mother's Day (special menu) but the staff struggled... More

Went there for a late Sunday lunch in a party of five. We weren't in a hurry, which was just as well, for we didn't rise until over two hours later. Service was pretty leisurely, but pleasant. There was a choice of 4 hand-pulled beers and a vast menu of food to mull over. It was well worth the wait,... More

Choice was plentiful, we opted for pie of the day which was really enjoyable..very well presented, lovely and hot and overall tasted wonderful.. Bravo to the chef, and with friendly service from the young ladies working, all in all so glad... More

Fantastic real ale, superb meals from locally sourced food expertly prepared and cooked. Great cosy atmosphere with log fires and vintage cutlery and decor. All the staff, especially Nicola and Graham, are really helpful and friendly. Recommend.
