There is a lovely circular walk that starts and ends at this pub. The beer was excellent and so was the hot beef sandwich. Typical pub fare, but that was what we wanted.

Food lovely, not too expensive. Good views. Only thing that spoiled it was smokers right outside patio doors, no fault of establishment.

I have driven past this little pub many times, but as it it just off the busy A road have never been in before. We decided to go in yesterday and what a delight! A traditional, homely pub which is split into two sections, around the central bar. The front section allows dogs, the back does not It was full... More

We visited the watermill for a friends birthday. There were 15 in our group and we had reserved a table. On arrival the staff were very friendly. We ordered our food and drinks and sat back to relax. The atmosphere was very cosy and homely. The starters were absolutely delicious. I had the black pudding stack and my husband had... More

On our way to Ambleside, stopped here for a pub meal. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and welcoming. The menu had a slightly limited choice but looked appetising. Service was fairly quick and starters tasted very nice. Main courses came after a short while and portion size was great. The beef and ale pie was full of... More

We were on our way to Hawkshead and stopped off here for something to eat. The food was yum. The beer was nice too. Off the road but probably worth making the effort to find.

We have visited this pub a few times now with family members. It's one of our favourite pubs to visit whilst we are up in the lakes. Fantastic food Lovely atmosphere in the pub. The staff are all very friendly and welcome you when you come in. The best bit is this pub is dog friendly.

My friends and I weren't expecting much for our lunch here. To our surprise the food was nicely presented and it tastes good too! And to top it all the customer service was brilliant!

Came for a night out here a few years ago, been desperate to return. So when we came and stayed for one night we weren't disappointed, room 1 (we were upgraded to the family room) was immaculate and modern. The staff were absolutely lovely, so helpful. Will stay again :) food was fabulous and their beer was yummy:) A taxi... More

Me and my partner ate here for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. This was our first visit to the Lake District and it won't be the last. We had the baked Camembert cheese which was big enough to share followed by the roast beef which again didn't disappoint we even sampled the made on site ale which was lovely.... More
