We have been visiting Heidi's for several years now and are never disappointed! The food is always delicious - and so filling that we need to take pudding with us for the walk back to the car. A big plus for walkers is that they are dog friendly - Benny is always remembered by the staff and greeted with a... More

From all the cafes in Grasmere we chose Heidi's because they welcome dogs. We sat down and waited to be served. The place wasn't busy and we could see 3 staff behind the counter. After 5 mins no one had come to take our order so we went to stand by the counter. We were told in a pleasant manner... More

As a family of 4 we stopped off here for lunch. The service was ok and the food was very nice but sandwiches costing £8 is a bit too much to pay! We liked the tables in amongst the shop but will try another cafe in grasmere next time.

This place looks absolutely delightful and I was so lookind forward to sitting down for a lovely lunch. I was excited on arrival to see the lovely gifts and managed to get a table. I could settle for the cramped conditions for it being quaint, but then one of the male staff shook his head and tutted as he couldnt... More

It is Ok but expensive. There are better places in grasmere but if you find yourself there you will be satisfied. Leaf tea is nice to see. It is also a gift shop which has some nice things.

A really cute place and it has a lot of potential though the service let this place down, only myself and partner here therefore noise levels were quiet and could hear the staff bickering which made the meal awkward. Food was nice though and the hog roast sandwich was reasonably priced in comparison to some of the other cafes in... More

We visited Grassmere on our most recent visit to the lakes and just had to return to Heidi's. The illy coffee is delicious and the surroundings cosy and quaint, you can actually sit amongst the cafe's giftware which you can purchase and the bed and breakfast accommodation upstairs looks lovely....we'll done Heidi's!

This is a great place for lunch. The toasted cheese is well worth trying and the staff are very friendly. It's well worth a visit.

This place has gone a little downhill in the past year and the reduction in table numbers does make it even more cramped than before. The person who served us at 11 o'clock'ish in the morning wore scruffy, stained clothing (including his apron). He may have been a new member of staff but his attire was totally unacceptable from a... More
