Excellent value - good honest food

The lads serving in The Lamb Inn were friendly and took our orders without any problem. The starter, bread with oil and dips, was lovely - very filling. Waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for food, only to be served with cold and undercooked food! When we asked to speak to the manager we got greeted by a condescending arrogant young man who clearly had no customer service skills. Homely pub attached to a hotel in centre of Grasmere. Nice for a quick pitstop. No objections to boots and dogs

First night fish and chips were very good. Fresh haddock crispy batter Second night The curry didn't taste of anything much - chicken Ok but curry flavour was very bland/nonexistent.

Great steak & Ale pie,chips & veg. My husband said the Giant Yorkshire pudding filled with meat & veg was very tasty. Fab food in a nice relaxed atmosphere.

was stopping in the attached Red Lion Hotel, called in the Lamb for evening meal. the Cumberland Sasuage on creamy mash was devine, my wife had the Lamb Henry, very very tasty

Extensive pub menu, food well presented, well cooked only comment, please don't skimp on the veg - that was the only downer to what was excellent place to eat with excellent value for money.
