Visited bank holiday weekend and won't be going back. Ordered my 3 children the cheese and tomato pizza meals. They came well presented with chips but with a ton of lettuce??? Unfortunately all 3 who absolutely adore pizza complained about their meal. I eventually got sick of them complaining they were hungry and it was awful and tasted it. Disgusting... More

My husband and I was here last week. I had the BBQ chicken pizza, and my husband had fish and chips. It was a nice pub in the picturesque village of Grasmere. The food was great, so thumbs up.

Came herein the bank holiday Saturday in August. Really busy but waited for a table as the food menu look delicious. Prosecco on tap and a local beer which was cloudy but fruity. A group of 6 of us ordered steaks, burgers, and Cumberland sausage. The sausages were cooked to cremation, the rump steak was very tough when cookedmedium rare,... More

The food here is top quality pub food served by extremely helpful and friendly staff (Tom & Daniel) The Lamb Henry was fantastic! The best I have ever had. My wife went for the Fish & Chips which again was fantastic quality! The outside area is great when the sun is out!

The Lamb Inn is one of only 2 pubs in the centre of Grasmere. The other is Tweedies which sold the flattest lager/beer in the village. Both pubs are part of larger hotels. The Lamb Inn is part of The Red Lion. We ate here twice during our 3 night stay. Main courses in the £10- £15 bracket but that... More

In such a beautiful village, we expected "The Pub" to have charm and warmth, so it's not surprising that we were disappointed with this watering-hole. Dirty tables, no decorating style or taste in the room, poker machines in a corner, this was not where we wanted to linger over a drink.

Our first night in Grasmere, how I wish we had made a better choice. There was a 45 minute wait but we accepted that as it was busy. Only after ordering did we find people around us complaining. One couple having had there starter waited for an hour for their main course which was so bad they sent it back... More

We went here as a group for a meal and found it was lacking slightly,2 of us ordered the curry off the menu and were not told that part of what was advertised on the menu to accompany the curry was not available so we were served just the curry and rice and it was a very small portion !,however...
