We had nice pasta in this place, I had the Penne Arrabiata and it was very good. The staff was also very friendly.

Chose this restaurant on the positive reviews shown on " Trip advisor". Started with cheesy garlic bread which was fine then selected choices from the "specials" board - big mistake! My wife picked sea bass in a coconut and capers sauce with pok choi, my choice was pork medallions topped with tomato and goat's cheese. Spices were added to the... More

We dined here for a night out, the location of the restaurant was easy to find and accessible with a paying car park around the corner. The food we ordered was divine, it was cooked very hot and was served very quickly. The menu had a wide range of selection of different types of foods, drinks and desserts. The dessert... More

Fantastic food and relaxing atmosphere, we felt well looked after and we were very happy with everything. It was apparent that large groups are catered for as well as intimate couples or smaller groups with ease. Will definitely go again, but I feel that I need an excuse such as a birthday!

I really wanted to like this place. For many of our group of 7 the food was very good but for my wife and I it was a big disappointment. Our pizza they said could do as vegan came with anchovies. The waitress said they would remove the pizza charges from the bill - they didn't. And the waitress seemed... More

Food good but forget any accompanying alcohol. Minimum price for a bottle of house wine is over £16 and most bottles are £20 plus. I know restaurants all mark up their wine but this is excessive, particularly in Cockermouth.

This restaurant provides everything one could desire for a perfect evening out. The decor & ambience was excellent, the food superbly prepared & presented, accompanied by a limited, but well chosen wine list. Well worth a visit!!!!

Food was excellent and very reasonably priced, I can recommend the belly pork with black pudding . Service was very good too. Would go again and for an after diner walk the river and park are close by.

What a gem! The menu is wonderfully innovative, the decor simple but attractive, and the service first-rate. It is definitely worth seeking out. Although we enjoyed a number of lovely meals during a 10-day stay in the Lake District, this one was the best. Christine Garrett London
