From the canapes as we ordered to the honey and cream tart that was so fabulous that we asked for (and got) the recipe the food was all interesting, well presented and delicious - and we are not even vegetarians! Parking is a bit of a problem and this was January, so I expect it is even harder at busy... More

4 of us ate there together. The food would not normally be my choice, but I enjoyed it anyway. One negative point was when my partner wanted to order a Campari she was told a little haughtily that the colouring stuff is from animals (cochineal beetles I assume) and so not served. I suppose this is truly vegetarian in their... More

Excellent service and food, 5 of us all enjoyed the excellent ambience. The food is ALL to a great standard, tasty and put together really well . Wine is good and reasonable in price. Offered bubbly at midnight but had to go to a party!

My partner and I have been coming to the Quince and Medlar since 2012 and we go once every 4 months or so. The husband and wife team who run the place are very attentive and the decor of the restaurant is set up for fine dining. When I first went to the restaurant I was a bit apprehensive as... More

Warm and friendly atmosphere as usual. Wa had drinks in the cosy seating area a few steps down from the main restaurant room. Our family group of five people indulged in the following starters: Terrine of carrot, lentil & apricot in a wrapping of nori seaweed with our sesame oat biscuits & cheese shortbreads [simply yummy]; Baked butternut dumplings, Cumbrian... I first heard of this vegetarian restaurant probably 15 years ago and had always meant to go and finally got there last week. It is small with a comfortable seating area for pre dinner drinks and then a pleasant area for dining. The service was very good but we ate fairly early and it was quiet so I don't know... More

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The building and the décor was stunning. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. There were some really interesting and unusual ideas throughout the menu. The service was excellent. It is such a huge treat for anyone who loves vegetarian food to have so much wonderful choice. When eating... More

Always look forward to a meal here, some of the best food I have tasted. As a vegan it can be difficult to eat you but here I have good menu to choose from and the chocolate trio is fantastic.

we don't usually eat vegetarian but have always enjoyed it when we do Unfortunately instead of an abundance of different tastes we felt this was monotone and expensive for what we received. The Australian organic wine though was excellent
