We (4 adults, a 5 year old and a 2 year old) arrived here quite late for lunchtime, but we managed to find a table and were served very quickly. We had hot and cold sandwiches, the kids had milkshakes, and then the adults had hot chocolate and cake. All of the food was good quality and the staff were... More

The genius of the coffee kitchen is great coffee in an off the beaten track location, which feels like you've been allowed in on a local secret. It's only steps away from the main street, but it's worth seeking out. I especially like that the coffee kitchen is another one of Cockermouth's superb independently run businesses... they're all over town,... More

I've been using The Coffee Kitchen for nearly 2 years now and quite simply it's one of the best places in Cockermouth to eat, drink and buy innovative quality bread. A favourite of mine is the Cumbrian Rarebit it's simply sublime!

This was my second visit. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is to much trouble. The food is excellent quality and I can recommend the salads. The bread is baked fresh daily. And great selection of teas and coffees.

Stopped for coffee and was not disappointed. It was delicious! Strong brew and plenty of options. Disappointed that the blend we drank was not on sale. Well worth a stop for the coffee alone.

Although down an unprepossessing side street in the town this place must be searched out. The entrance and bakery downstairs lead up to a very welcoming coffee house on the first floor. Attentive staff made us very welcome, the menu is supplemented by daily specials on the board. If you have travelled on the continent and wondered why the coffee... More

That's a lovely review. Thanks. Yeah, it was a bit hot that week. Air-con is in the pipeline but as you say - this is Cumbria! More

I discovered this place in Cockermouth in between business meetings and oh what a discovery! This coffee shop is off the main road, and don't be put off by the entrance. Go up the stairs and you get yourself seat. The downstairs area is the home made bread department.Service was speedy and efficient - and more importantly, the coffee was great.... More
