Went with my Grandma for lunch. Portions were a good size, so much so that Gran couldn't finish hers (was no problem for me though). Had a vanilla Milkshake which was delicious and the waitresses were very nice. Also my dad loves the coffee here, and he knows his stuff.

I love this place, great atmosphere, great staff, great food and drink! There are not many places where you can go as an individual, couple or family and feel relaxed and never rushed. Sit and chat or read the paper in peace with a fantastic cup of whatever! My love of coffee has grown while visiting here and nowhere quite... More

We came here for a quick coffee just before they were closing. The place is huge! Ive only seen it from the outside and it looks tiny but the place is a tardis! The prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly and the brownie is the best brownie EVER!

After receiving a tip off from the Air BnB host we were staying with in Cockermouth, we made our way over the River Derwent to discover the delights of Cockermouth. I always like to find an independent baker and Coffee Kitchen had two things I'd not come across before. A chorizo bread (so warm, soft and with tiny bits of... More

I try to keep replies to a minimum and let the reviews speak for themselves but your review was both fantastic and pertinent. So glad you liked what we do but here's a thing - we're opening a bakery in town soon so the next time you come down we'll have an even bigger selection of cakes and breads for... More

We just called for morning coffee which was excellent. My wife ordered a machiato which, when it arrived, was not quite what she expected. They readily changed the drink. We did not eat but the portions we saw were good and the cake selection mouth watering.. Easy to miss as it is a compact premises down a narrow side street.... More

Good coffee and fab sandwiches made with fresh baked bread. Succulent meat with lovely pea sprout salad & coleslaw on the side. Cakes looked yummy but had no room, maybe next time.

Having stayed overnight with friends at the local Travelodge, we looked for somewhere good to have breakfast and found the Coffee House. It lived exactly up to our expectations. The artisan bakery on the ground floor attracted us in. The room upstairs opened out to welcome us. The food was fresh and filling, the teas, coffees and other drinks were... More
