This is the place where people arrange to meet for discussions and make plans, or to read the papers or work on their laptops. The coffee is excellent and very reasonably priced, and the food looks good. But the outstanding thing is the friendliness of the staff. And because the staff are friendly, so are the customers. Don't be put... More

The stairs are to much if you are disabled, my disabled parents came to visit and could not get up the stairs, so had to go elsewhere. When we came on our own we were very disappointed. The coffee was very poor burnt and bitter and the cakes left a lot to be desired

This is in my opinion the best Café in town. Brilliant coffee, lovely food (try the Cumbrian Rarebit, never fails to titillate the taste buds), friendly staff, newspapers, fast wifi, very kid friendly and fresh bread to purchase on the way out. They never rush you to vacate a table, spent many a pleasant lunchtime in here, catching up on... More

This is a great place to rest your feet (and bum) after walking around lovely Cockermouth. Good selection of food, cakes, teas and coffee. Also dog friendly downstairs too! :-)

We arrived in Cockermouth by cycle, not knowing where to go. But a quick Google search found this gem of a cafe. It's not on the Main Street but well worth finding. On seeing we had bikes, a member of staff invited us to bring them into the entrance, and suggested we went upstairs to the comfy seats. The waitress... More

As someone who lives locally this is a lovely place to meet up with friends and enjoy the ambience and the good coffee. They also make bread on the premises. What's not to like !

This was recommended by someone in Cockermouth. It was delightful! I had an open sandwich with home made corned beef. Oh Lordy, a mouth orgasm. Fresh salad served with it and gorgeous bread. The staff were really friendly and entertained my two year old. They were happy to chat about their breads and cakes etc. we sat downstairs with our... More

Called on Saturday with my wife and had another fantastic coffee, this time I tried the smoked duck salad. As always the food is fantastic and very well accompanied with the very helpful and enthusiastic service. Well done to the owner and his wonderful staff. See you next week

I regularly go for a relaxing coffee and am never disappointed. The coffee is always well made and there is also always a good selection of home made cakes. We often also end up taking home a loaf of their shop baked bread.

Open early for fresh cooked breakfast or quick rework coffee. Equally open till 6 so late afternoon meetings are great here. I have not tasted as good Coffee anywhere, food is fresh and there's always good variety.
