Been before and although pricey enjoyed our meal. However won't be hurrying back anytime soon after today's lunch experience, over 40 min wait for our food (sandwiches, salad and 2 kids meals! ) when it finally arrived after we had asked 2 different people how long it would be, my husbands steak sandwich was cold and whilst tasty my salad... My partner and I had a lovely meal with my parents (and our spaniel) - we wanted to find somewhere special to celebrate a year since our engagement and Lucy's didn't fail to impress. Delicious food (puddings are to die for), friendly service and to top it off Lucy herself made a special effort to have a chat with us.... More

Dropped into Lucy's for lunch simply because the menu looked good and the prices were reasonable. We were seated quickly and chose fish and chips and a burger, pretty standard stuff, but so many places get the basics wrong. We were very impressed. The food was well cooked and tasty and the service was great. Recommended.

A visit to The Lakes wouldn't be complete without a trip to lucys! We always book in as a special treat on our first night & it's never failed to deliver on fine food and atmosphere. We love the way the menu changes and the individual pieces the owner writes presumably each day! The pudding menu is vast and surely... More

★★★☆☆ Visited on March 10th, impressed by the decor and atmosphere. Starters were lovely, main courses brilliant too. Unfortunately the service didn't match the cuisine and I had to flag a waiter down after several attempts to get our second round of drinks ordered. 5 minutes later the waiter was walking past our table when it was clear he realised... My wife and I went to Lucy's on 12th April during a trip to the lakes. My wife had been 2 years ago on a girls holiday and commented how good it was. It seems however things have changed for the worse :( We arrived just after 12 for lunch service. I'd chosen the mussels and my wife the soup... More

I ordered fish & chips but this was spoilt by burnt chips. When I asked to change them they were replaced by another bowl of burnt chips and was told that was how they did them and not much in the way of an apology!. Would not go again.

We called in for a cream scone and a cup of tea. Noticed waitress heating up scone in microwave, minute portion of jam & clotted cream which was on the turn. Cost £7 a head and not worth it.

Tried thus ready rate fur the first time after reading the reviews. Excellent menu ,lots of things that appealed to me. I had the scallops and a Ribeye which were both excellent with a kerplunk style stack of chunky chips. Finished of with Cumberland a bread pudding again excellent . Service speed was very good , perhaps it lacked a... More
