We had a very enjoyable lunch here with friends. Great food Wonderful scenery outside the Pub. We felt we had to be there earlier than we would have liked because they did not take lunch bookings. It was busy by 1:00pm

Unfortunately we did not realise how popular this restaurant is, so it was booked out every evening for the week we were in the area. We had lunch one day instead. Great gourmet sandwiches and a lovely view if you sit outside. Friendly service. Next time I will book in advance to have dinner there.

Had a lovely lunch here last week. Me and the Mrs shared the pork sandwich and the reuben sandwich they were both great. I loved the beer bat, were you can try 3 3rds. The only downside was that we sat on the table nearest the door in the bar and the tables painted finish is all chipped and coming... More

My wife's sister had recently stayed here with her husband for a couple of nights and as we were staying in the area decided to pop in for a pint and a bite to eat as she had said the food was amazing. High on a hill and with an amazing view it is quite a remote pub, and a... More

We booked a table for dinner as early as we could which was 9PM on a Tuesday but we arrived at 8 for a pre dinner drink of their own brew in the bar before moving into the restaurant. I chose the lamb which was cooked perfectly pink, the veg were tasty, the blackened onion was amazing and worth a... More

The staff, food and drinks are always of the highest quality. Popped in this week on our annual Lakes holiday, had The Reuben (aka the best sandwich ever!)..it was lush!

In the hills overlooking Ambleside this pub is a good place to sit outside on the benches with a nice coo lake. The folk are friendly and the beers are good in a lovely bush setting.

My friend and I returned for the fantastic moules frites and they were even better than we remembered , succulent and plump in a delicious sauce and the crispiest piping hot frites I had ever had. We shared a pulled pork sandwich which was excellent and served with fat and crispy chips that reminded me of my mothers, yummy !!!!!!!... More
