This café and shop were AMAZING!. I was stunned with the amount of stuff in there, lots of food, papers, stationary, pet food, frozen food, toilets, café, household items, toys, maps..................... it is endless. I would DEFINITELY RECOMEND THIS PLACE. It is a MUST!!!!!!

We have stopped here several times over recent years when walking in the area. It's nice enough in a bit of a dour and downcast way, but could do with a bit of a refurb and bringing up to date. Food has always been reasonable, but the coffee we had this week was less than memorable. A few less laminated... More

Good home-made food, Illy coffee, excellent service and a pleasant friendly attitude. The cafe is well hidden above the Co-op shop in Chapel Stile village but is well worth finding.

I probably only get to Langdale once a year (or less) but this cafe has become a must visit location for me both before and after heading out on the hills. Food and coffee has always been of good quality and resonably priced. On my most recent wild-camping trip with my 14 year old son, making it back to here... More

Does what it prromises - its an upstairs cafe with good cafe menu in a vibrant local shop - a good alternative for a sandwich lunch to the pubs around. Great value and pleasant staff. I made a mistake with the cottage pie and carrots which was microwaved but family's sandwiches hit the mark.

Home made cakes, excellent coffee, very clean. This little cafe is located above the co-op in Chapel Stile and is run by local people. The staff are friendly, the food is good and the cake portions generous. Breakfast served until 1130 is a generous helping of traditional fare. Soup and a roll excellent on a cold day. Prices are very... More

Popped in mid-walk along the river. Had a banana and apricot loaf; with a toasted tea cake; cup of tea & a hot chocolate - excellent taste & just what we needed. Clientale slightly older and/or fellow walkers, but a great tea room tucked upstairs above the friendliest Co-Op you'll ever find!! Well worth popping in, if passing (but maybe... More
