This is a nice cosy little café with a good selection of food and drinks. The food was okay, the portions were big, and not too expensive and the milkshakes were yummy! The Christmas decorations were lovely and I would go back to try something different. Also, dogs are welcome!

.....on a wet, windy and cold day in Ambleside! This is an excellent place to eat. Service is friendly and quick and whether you want a full English breakfast, sandwiches or just a hot drink, I don't think you will find much better anywhere in Ambleside. We were there at lunchtime and both opted for the gammon which proved to... More

The food is really well cooked. I had a full English, and being fussy I asked to have no black pudding or grilled tomato, and whether I could have an extra slice of toast. Glad to say they didn't have a problem with making changes to the set meal, which is good as other establishments can be funny about this.... More

We went for an amble around Ambleside on a wet December afternoon and came across this cafe. Keen to avoid costa across the road, we headed in. Great, friendly service and an awesome french onion soup later, we were ready to head back into the rain

A fairly standard litte cafe in the centre of Ambleside. Reasonably priced, clean and good service. Good portion sizes. What else can you say. The toilets were a little difficult for my elderly mum up the stairs. Recommended.

I asked if they had anything which would be ok for me as I have coeliac which means I need a gluten free diet. The young girl told me they don't cater for gluten free people. So I had to sit and watch my husband eat a tea cake and a only a cup of tea for myself. I wish... More
