Stopped off for coffee and cake after a long walk. Service was great - very welcoming - and we lived both the scone and white chocolate & raspberry cake ... Delicious! Well worth a visit!

Portions are very generous and even if you are not a vegetarian the cheese on toast is a really good choice, with a very good side salad. Service... More

Being vegetarian, always want to support local veggie cafés and restaurants and wasn't disappointed. Had the soup and sandwich combo and the veggie chilli and all were excellent home-made and filling grub. The bread supplied by a local bakery was so good we popped in to buy some for ourselves.

oh am I glad to have found this little gem of a place and very happy that the days special was a Lentil Dhal accompanied by 2 garlic naans, raita and mango chutney....Dhal was mildly spiced and very tasty and super value at £5.50....will be back.

Tucked away by the river this is a really lovely cosy cafe. Plenty of freshly made food on offer that always hits the spot. Super friendly owners too.

We had lunch here on a recent holiday in Ambleside. I had quiche and salad and it really was good. Very fresh and healthy homemade ingredients. Highly recommend and fairly good value too.
