Gorgeous hidden Gem

Fabulous wee cafe hidden down a lane. Abundance of homemade cakes and panini, sandwiches and salad items to die for. Lovely friendly couple make this a definite pit stop any time we're in Ambleside.

This café is extremely good...great cakes, a variety of hot and cold drinks. There is also amazing foods on offer, from chilli, baked potatoes, quiches, soups and much more. The baked potato with veggie chilli is awesome- heaps of chilli, huge potatoes and a generous amount of salad on the side. The soups are also good! Great portions with a... More

When visiting Ambleside in December 2014 we discovered this wonderful cafe on our final day! With the extremely poor weather we were daily visitors during last week & on each occasion were given a very warm welcome! The home baking is of an excellent standard , beautifully presented & served in well-maintained eclectic surroundings .

Quirky little cafe with so many nice personal touches from the owners that you almost want to keep it a secret so it doesn't become spoilt. I love coming here and trying the delicious cakes and all the home cooked meals are divine I wish I had the cheek to ask for the recipy! ! Family friendly...affordable and a perfect... More

Great food. Friendly atmosphere. Particularly love the sharing cake platter and the bean chilli. Great ethos of using ethically sourced products.
