After numerous trips to Ambleside I wanted to try somewhere a little different, a vegetarian lunch. Then I remembered the great reviews for this cosy café in the old part of the village, near the post office. I ordered a Rattle Gill Salad and was very impressed by the quality and speedy friendly service. I'll be returning soon with my... More

Visited Ambleside on a rainy Wednesday in July, two dogs in tow. Looking for a dog friendly coffee stop, and the lady in the outdoor shop recommended finding this little place up a very small alley. Glad we found it! Tiny cafe, only room for about 15 to sit inside, (more could sit outside if the weather allowed) - best... More

It's set back from the main street, so nice and quiet, overlooking the river and watermill which was really picturesque. The cafe itself is tiny so you may end up having to wait or come back, but it's worth it. The food... More

We thought we knew Ambleside pretty well but this little café was a new discovery on our most recent visit, tucked away down a narrow alley. Delicious home-cooked food, chunky toasties and delicious flapjack and brownies that we’re still talking about. We tried not to look too enviously at other people’s soup and quiches and we’ll definitely have to go... More

Ideal place for a quick lunch. The owner here has a wonderful formula. One that is hard to find. Great atmosphere, amazing healthy food, excellent service. Our favourite lunch spot in Ambleside. Wish there were more places like this around the country.

Today we visited here for a light lunch. The room was quaint, cosy, colourful but small. There was a friendly atmosphere. The service was quick and the food was well presented and delicious. My family agreed with me, we will visit here again soon!!
