Absolutely fab! Vege food done to its best. Would recommend the quiche i eat it oftern, the 2 lads that work here are great too very friemdly and efficient. Cakes look amazing everytime. And good choice of salads. The bean chilli is good and filling. Would recommend for a vege or non vege.

Rattle Gill Café is a beautiful little café with a lovely atmosphere. It is quite small inside but it is an amazing little café that must be visited. There is great service at Rattle Gill Café and it is not to be missed for it's great food. We ordered two veggie chilli jacket potatoes, one was a children's portion yet... More

An excellent cafe for cake lovers - choose from one of the excellent cakes on display or have all five on a taster plate. You will not leave feeling empty! Fantastic place with friendly staff and great service.

Went for both afternoon tea and then again the following day for lunch and both times the service , food and price was slot on. Will defiantly be back on our return to the lakes.

A credit to Rattle Gill that a cosy cafe tops the list of places to eat in Ambleside! Been trying to try the food for ages but it's often full - but do keep trying! It is worth it. Finally got a table one quiet aftenoon. Had the daily special - tagine and a cup of coffee. The vegetable tagine... More

We went here whilst visiting the lakes and were blown away by a remarkable cafe in an even more remarkable location! Alec and Claire ( the owners ) were so friendly, and with an awesome selection of cakes and a delightful cup of tea to wash it down with we were so happy! Would recommend this great place to anyone... More

Quirky and very friendly staff in great location and the best flapjack ever. My wife had a wonderful date and coconut slice. Now it's our first choice in Ambleside.
