I wanted to buy a nice dinner for my brother and sister in law as they have taken care of me while I'm visiting from the U.S. The food was tasty although it would have been better if there had been gap between the various dishes arriving at the table which is what I would expect from somewhere serving Tapas.... We thought the restaurant had a good atmosphere suited to its surrounding. Pre evening drinks relaxed the mood, food was good, presented well in good proportions and fairly priced. Post meal cocktail was great. The factor that makes this restaurant well worth a return visit is the welcome we received from the staff and the continued good service throughout the... More

For pre or post-dinner drinks, this is a must! We loved it so much we visited on consecutive nights. Talented mixologists who know how to prepare a first-rate martini, and a cool ambience that's perfect for couples or larger gatherings.

We have been patrons of the many 'Lucys' places in Ambleside for over 10 years and unfortunately things have not improved and they maybe rely on their past good name too much. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun and friendly place, with attentive staff (sometimes over attentive when trying to have a private and personal conversation and stopped... More

Although we have visited Ambleside on many an occasion, this was our first visit to Lucy4. The waiter was extremely accommodating and helpful when dealing with my nut allergy. The tapas menu was a welcome change to some of the chain menus available in pubs close by. It was a difficult decision narrowing the choices down as everything sounded delicious.... More

We have eaten in this restaurant over a number of years and enjoyed the choice of food and wine. Unfortunately the wine by the glass list has been chopped drastically as has the menu. Though the menu is limited we managed to find a number of dishes to share. They were very tasty however the portion size was bigger than... More

we like this place. Sitting outside at the rear is a bit "rustic" but we really liked the food, the wine and the service. Not the cheapest but I have paid more for worse elsewhere. Nice place to finish the evening. I liked the "tapas" menu when I did not want a full meal.

We first off went to the sister restaurant 'Lucys on a plate', but they were full, which was impressive for a sleepy village! So we decided on Lucy4 and I'm so glad we did! The waitress and two waiters were very friendly and helpful, I'm gluten intolerant and they organised a seperate menu for me, they made up cocktails for... More

This tucked away tapas bar comes highly recommended. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. The staff were very friendly with the manager leading the way (such a chirpy friendly lady), the service was excellent as was the food. Lots of choice especially as one of our group was vegetarian .
