Family tea

Service was a little slow, but the place was quite busy as it was 6.45pm. We had the Slow Roast Lamb and the Smothered Chicken, both were nicely cooked, the meat was still juicy. The side salad only consisted of lettuce & tomato, would have been nice to have had red onion and some peppers with it.

We stopped in for lunch on spec (as you tend to with such restaurants) and found the property to be friendly, well laid out and clean. The menus are of course extensive and should you wish to eat from their '2 for' range then a 3 course meal can be eaten during the day midweek for £15 for 2 -... More

Don't know if there enough room to list the faults with this place!!! Firstly being sat near to the self serve drinks counter and watching the Costa Coffee machine only inches from the edge go into self clean cycle spluttering boiling water and steam everywhere. The next horrendous near miss was watching my mother in law snapping at the waiter... More

Arrived 5pm Friday so i expected it to be busy BUT i waited 15 minutes at the bar to place my order and gave up. I wasn't prepared to wait an equal amount of time maybe longer for food. Other tables had been waiting some time and had complained. Insufficient staff or inefficient use of staff not sure which. I... More

Relaxed environment, children's play area for both big and small. Tasty food, even refill mornings for coffee lovers. Great value!

We ate at this restaurant because it is next to our hotel. We both ordered pies but the pastry on them was extraordinarily tough. The serving staff were very good, all of them quietly efficient, but they were badly let down by the quality of the food. If we stay in the area again then we shall seek out another... More
