Never had a bad meal here

We visited Croters on a weekday to celebrate my mother in law's 80th. The young staff were very helpful and attentive but left us to enjoy our meal. The food was as delicious as always and great value for money. The restaurant is cosy and a warm welcome always awaits. A hidden gem, thank you x

We booked Crofters for a family celebration as we knew that there were private dining rooms upstairs (3) so that if the 2 children in our party were noisy, it would not disturb other diners. Also you can do daft family things without the curious gaze of onlookers! The 3 course Sunday lunch is excellent value at £14.95 and everyone... More

We opted for a nice 3 courses meal with wine and was all very happy with the food. We had steak & chicken, all well cooked, tasty sauces and had a very enjoyable night - we will definitely be back

Invited by friends to an evening dinner. Great food, service superb by a young staff. Local meal for us which avoided travelling distances at night. Cosy place and great ambience. Brian Spratt.

This must be our favourite restaurant, especially for Sunday lunch. Consistently great mouth-watering food cooked to perfection, most visits I don't need to look at the menu as I love the prawn cocktail starter and roast beef for main. Desserts are to die for - I recently enjoyed the pecan and walnut tart and always order the white chocolate and... More

Super We went to Crofters for an evening family celebration and were very impressed with everything on offer. We were in a small private room which was fine, the service was friendly and efficient and the food very good indeed. Most of us chose from the set 3 course menu which provided several choices and a half bottle of wine... More

We have been to this restaurant several times over the years and visited it this time on a Saturday night when they operate an a la carte menu. It has a good reputation and gets booked up pretty quickly but this time I can only say that the meal was mediocre, which was a shame since it was my wife's... More

We visit this restaurant quite often for family occasions, and have never been disappointed. Our grandchildren always go through the full adult menu clearly enjoying sampling different dishes. The serving staff are always pleasant and the food always arrives piping hot. The 'fixed price menu' changes every month, so if one visits often, one still gets the opportunity to try... More
