Description: Located in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, The Wells Kitchen offers a pub with modern decor and a comfortable atmosphere. The bar features a great selection of drinks, focused on affordable quality with a twist - the premium spirit and cocktail list has been hand crafted by two barmen with over 15 years of experience and knowledge between them, listing both classic and modern drinks as well as a selection of original recipes of their own. Upstairs is Bar Kitsch, our lounge bar open on Friday and Saturday nights till 2am. The town's funkiest bar combines relaxed areas with an upbeat feel, fantastic drinks and areas available to reserve. Our food is locally sourced and prepared fresh by our head chef, Chris Cook. It focuses on pub classics as well as modern dishes and some fantastic game and steak. We also have a lighter, grazing menu available in the pub.The venues unique twist comes with a locally sourced selection of lagers and ales on tap - no mass produced brands, just home-grown quality in a glass. The range offers something for everyone and our wide range of some of the worlds number one lagers and craft beers adds even more depth! We're more than happy to help you in the initial choice that will keep you coming back for more. Areas are available to reserve every night of the week and we're able to host anything from 10 - 150 people upstairs in Bar Kitsch or in the pub. The pub is also child friendly - we have highchairs, colouring books and crayons to keep the little ones entertained!

Went for my works christmas party last weekend 38 of us. I must say with the amount of people the service was outstanding, everyone really enjoyed themselves. We all had 3 course each, which were all very tasty. I will be returning soon.

Had dinner with friends on a Thursday night. The three of us all commented that the food and wine wasn't as good as it used to be. The dining area upon arrival had a really strong smell of bleach - not pleasant! There was a Christmas party going on upstairs which got very rowdy and so we felt it was... More

We visited Wells Kitchen for Sunday lunch and were surprised how few people were at the restaurant. Maybe they were busy Christmas Shopping. The service was good and the starters excellent. My wife had the sea bream which had been freshly cooked, I had the wild venison which was very good. We could manage a desert but felt fortified for... More

I visited The Wells Kitchen over the weekend and found that the menu was great, as was the service. I enjoyed the fact that when we had finished eating we could go upstairs and dance to some great music x would definitely recommend :-)

Went to the wells kitchen on Saturday night, 1st time my husband and I have tried it. I must say we were rather impressed with the food and service, from start to finish it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Food was outstanding and service with a smile goes a long way. We even decided to relive our youth and venture... More

This used to be a very nice lunch option in Tunbridge Wells. However, I'm sorry to say that it seems to have gone downhill recently. It was cold and the heating was off despite requests to turn it on from many tables. It also smells like the 'morning after the night before' - think stale beer. Food wise it is... More

Tonification, Thank you for taking time to put forward your feedback. I can assure you we are still a nice lunch option in Tunbridge Wells. We have recently employed a new chef from the Cote d'Azur and he has been tasked with re-vamping the lunch, set, canope and buffet menus-a job he has done very well. We have just had... More

We booked in to eat at The Wells Kitchen after looking at their seemingly lovely rustic menu and from having heard good reviews from our friends. 4 of us were eating on a Thursday evening. We had a table booked for 7:30pm and the restaurant was half full when we arrived. We were ushered to the table. The waiter didn't... More

Dear Laura N, In recent weeks our business has undergone a complete overhaul in respect of the kitchen and restaurant staff, this involved taking on a complete new team and as I'm sure you will understand this isn't a project that can be completed overnight. We now have two very talented chefs in the kitchen who are consistently producing top... More

I took a group of 25 friends for the £10 - 2 course or £12 - 3 course set menu on Thursday evening. The choices were good, well presented and tasty. There was a choice of three different home made soups served with fresh bread; the whitebait and chicken liver parfait were excellent and nicely presented. The minute steak and... More

Several other restaurants in the town were fully booked so we ended up at the Wells Kitchen which was empty at 7.00pm and I now know why. We ordered the chicken salad which was tasteless and the chicken was over cooked and tough as was the piece of bacon which was like leather, the other chicken with roast potatoes was... More

Dear Sir/Madam, Firstly can I thank you for your feedback. It appears you visited us on one of our quieter evenings. I have discussed your feedback with our Head Chef. He has told me that the chicken salad is made with red onion, feta, three types of lettuce leaf and dressed with a honey and mustard dressing-he fails to see... More

We went at a strange time, 3.30pm Sunday afternoon as we wanted a very late lunch. The food was ok but I think it would have been much nicer had we visited earlier in the day. My sea bass was tasty but on the small side and not really worth the money. My husband's roast venison was fine but the... More
