Simply delicious

I took my niece for lunch to The Black Dog and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Our hot chocolates were spot on - not too sweet and not so hot that you couldn't drink them straightaway. My niece's ham and cheese toastie was "lush" (her words!) and I had the homemade burger and chips... read more

Stopped in here this morning for some breakfast. First impressions were... Busy! Clearly a popular spot but as it's pretty small there isn't a lot of room to wait for your table. To be fair we were told it would be a five min wait and a few tables quickly became available. We ordered a couple of coffees and sat... More

My husband and I love this little place and have watched it grow in popularity over the past few years. It's a delightfully quirky little cafe style place with a contemporary feel. It's tiny and feels cosy and inviting. The window bar is a great place to watch the world go by and drink one of their coffees which are... More

The food is great, and the coffee fantastic. One of the best breakfasts in Tunbridge Wells. It is quite small though, so can be difficult to get a table. Best to get there early to avoid disappointment!

We stopped in here by chance but what a find! Wish I lived in Tunbridge Wells so I could frequent more often. The coffee is some of the best I've had in the UK and the breakfasts will not disappoint any Australian who longs for a good brekky and not just your bog standard English Breakfast. Had 4 coffees and... More

We are regulars here. Good food, consistently done well at very reasonable prices. Very lovely coffee and home made cakes. Especially recommend their breakfasts - how do they make simple scrambled eggs so good? And as for the mushrooms...

Great selection of delicious loose leaf teas served in pots which provide 2 and a half cups for only £1.80! I had a mushroom bruschetta which was absolutely fantastic and my friend had the soup of the day which she said was delicious. We all had a white chocolate brownie which I enjoyed but the texture was more like shortbread... More

A favourite place for a freshly cooked breakfast and proper, fresh pot of tea. Always bustling at the weekend. Little bit slow with the drinks which came after the food. But still a great cafe.

Love visiting the black dog for Breakfast. This is easily the best coffee in town. And served double shot, which should be standard with good coffees!! These guys clearly care and take great pride in the ethos of this cafe. Breakfast options are good although I do find it to be quite unpredictable. Service is always polite and helpful and... More

We have always been big fans of the Black Dog cafe from the first day it has opened it's doors. Good chilled music provides a great ambience and the good service and food are accompanied by some of the best coffee in Tunbridge Wells.
