I've been here a few times with my family, and also had a couple of take-aways from here too. I think, if memory serves me, when I was a kid, this place used to be a chip shop. But it's much better as it is now...a small, gem of a Japanese restaurant! There aren't a lot of tables, and it... More

My wife and I go here all the time. Our four-year-old adores sushi and always asks for Kitsu when we ask him what he wants to eat. Consistently excellent, one of our favourite Tunbridge Wells restaurants. High ranking is very well-deserved. The lunch menu for £12 is an absolute steal.

Booked a table last minute. They were very busy, but made every effort to accommodate us. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious. Especially the Gyoza, which were the best I've eaten. The miso ramen was slightly too sweet, but enjoyed it nonetheless. To be fair, my girlfriend does make the best ramen in the world, so there was... More

wow what a tiny place it has only room for about 20 people who are very good friends The menu is just amazing in its complexity so many choices. I struggled to decide what to have. All the 12 members of our group had a variety of dishs from Katsu curry Tempura and Bento, I didnt find anyone who had... More

Simply the best restaurant in Tunbridge Wells. I probably eat here at least once a month and use their take away service in between when I can't get a table. Yes it's a canteen, yes you have to bring your own alcohol, but what you do get is super fresh sushi and sashimi, no msg, no additives, just amazing unpretentious... More

This little restaurant serves delicious sushi at a good price. The interior is basic but clean and functional. Service was not expert but attentive and friendly. The waitress told us it was her first day. Food is delicious and great value. So nice to find good Japanese food outside of London. As long as you know in advance, the cash... More

A really lovely unassuming restaurant. Not sure service is 5*, but the food and amazing value more than makes up for this. Definitely not to be missed!

The food here is fantastic, hence why booking is essential on a Friday/Saturday evening...and you may be made to feel a little rushed to examine the extensive menu if you are not already familiar with it. Bring your own booze means you can very affordably enjoy a fine Cremant with some fantastic sushi. Be warned when asking for recommendations, as... More

Great food at decent prices, and love the fact that you can bring your own alcohol. However, our visit was ruined and cut short (we were in there for an hour - website says at busy times you can stay an hour and a half) by the male waiter who made us feel very uncomfortable and rushed to finish. For... More

Unassuming little restaurant the size of a small cafe. The staff are warm welcoming and enthusiastic and the food is truly exceptional, had a sushi sharing platter a selection of tempura, spring rolls and katsu curry with noodles, all amazing. Cash only and BYO. We will be back to work our way through the very extensive menu :)
