The Tunbridge Wells Bar & Grill is located in a prime location on the High Street in the heart of this fashionable area. Following a complete transformation, our unique property is a fresh, intimate space where guests can enjoy a mid-morning coffee, a leisurely lunch, a relaxed dinner or unwind with a cocktail at the impressive bar. A state of the art retractable roof provides outdoor dining all year long, rain or shine. Ingredient provenance is key to us. We're about classic and inspired seasonal cooking, amazing steaks and brilliant cocktails to match. We only serve 100% British beef naturally reared on farms selected by us. Our chefs traveled to Memphis to learn the best barbecue techniques to bring back to our kitchens. We're cooking over charcoal on an amazing theatre grill and wood burning oven, putting a big focus on marinating, rubbing and slow cooking with our latest menu. Fantastic food and service, every time you visit us.

Friends Dinner

Late summers evening (Saturday), bit to noisy with incidental music (more like full blow DJ). Difficult to have a conversation over pre dinner drinks. Restaurant not much better when eating meal. Busy, which is good although waiting staff could have been more attentive. Food good, but nothing... read more

Good selection of food - something for everyone. Lovely atmospheric feel dining under the cover of darkness in daytime or evening.

Our first evening meal in Tunbridge Wells (August 19th, 2015) was at this restaurant. Despite the unassuming entrance it was quite spacious inside and had an outdoor courtyard in the back with a retractable roof for inclement weather. The service was excellent and the food was well-prepared. For starters, my spouse and I had Tomato Soup and Smoked Salmon. The... More

The menu outside won my custom with its sensible range of choices. Décor wise it is attractive and the prices shown are very competitive. Once sat down, the only negative a very low and soft double seat, we were greeted quickly by a waitress and in very quick time served with food and drinks. It was a great meal in... More

On entering restaurant I spoke to Manager re. Loudness of music, he agreed to lower the volume. We ordered our meal and before the starter arrived the music again became deplorably unbearably uncomfortable louder than when we entered. I spoke to a nice waitress and told her we would have to leave if this issue was not resolved she got the... More

Over cooked lobster and dry steak. Messed up our bill. Disgusting toilets. Not worth the price, which is a shame as its a great looking venue.

We had lunch here & we're very disappointed. The staff were more interested in joking with each other than serving anyone. The food took ages to arrive & was overpriced - Tunbridge Wells has a lot more to offer. We won't be back.

Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and bar seemed to have a nice buzz for a Thursday evening. Service was lacking, staff looked good but not customer service focused - e.g. not checking if we wanted more drinks, surely a basic! but also losing the place money as was a large group who were happy to pay for expensive cocktails/mocktails. Food... More

I've been coming here ever since the Bar & Grill opened and it would be fair to say, that my wife or myself comes here every 3 weeks probably as I live a relatively short walk away. I came here on Sunday 23rd August for my daughter's 17th birthday with my father-in-law. Just a bit annoying to start with when... More

Have patronised here for 3 years but no more. My views have been given to the Assistant General Manager so I will say little more. It was a pleasant Bar/ Restaurant but is now a noisy bar with dirty toilets and over priced badly presented food. Wine also poor quality and over priced. The owners of the chain have become... More
