Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and decided to visit based on the reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. I believe there were two veal dishes on the menu, but I can't remember which one I had. I'm sure the other option would have been just as fantastic as the one I had. My sister, brother's girlfriend and I went the... More

Where to start? The food is just beautifully cooked and truthfully some of the best I've ever eaten. Reasonably priced too! Vegetarians are well catered for as are meat and fish eaters and the wine list is great. The restaurant isn't huge so I recommend booking. In fact I recommend La Scala full stop. Superb!

We stumbled across this restaurant last year when looking for somewhere to pass the time before our ferry crossing, and it stood out then as being a restaurant worth returning to. So we did. This time, it also happened to be our wedding anniversary, so we were more than happy to linger longer and enjoy a very celebratory meal. We... More

Ate here on a Saturday evening with three friends. We had a table booked for 8pm. Restaurant was busy and service was slow, but the waiting staff kept us informed of progress (staff were friendly and helpful). Food was cooked to order and worth the wait.

We stayed overnight in Dover en route to Europe by ferry and ate here. When we arrived for our meal (pre booked) out table wasn't ready as the previous customers were taking a lot longer than usual. Two young waiters couldn't have been more apologetic and when we did finally sit down topped our (delicious) wine up as an apology.... More

The owner was very cordial and very Italian. It was wonderful to eat an authentic Italian meal. Both of our meals were amazing! They were open later than other restaurants which was nice. I highly recommend coming here for anyone stopping in Dover.

Such a lovely hidden jem in Dover, really really friendly one to one service yet not too full on. Cannot fault the food, have eaten in many different Italian restaurants and highly recommend this particular one. Lovely atmosphere, excellent staff, delicious food. Brilliant value for high quality Italian food.

We ate here while staying in Dover on our way to France. The food was delicious, good service, even though they were very busy. We saw lots of people (who had no reservations) being turned away as their seating is limited. I would certainly advise booking.

We were in Dover, too tired to cook, and knew La Scala from before. Once again, could not fault the experience. Delicious paté with sweet red onion marmalade was ideally balanced, and the veal escalope in cream and mushroom sauce followed just right. A plate of 4 delicious cheeses to finish my glass of excellent upmarket red, a good bottle... More

We popped into La Scala prior to the show and was not disappointed in the slightest. We both had the special, a ribeye steak cooked to our liking. Service was fantastic, the steak was cooked to perfection and over an inch thick. Fantastic value for money. A well presented meal in a charming location close to the theatre.
