Upon entering this restaurant, you're met with a smile and some fantastic smells. We made our way upsatirs via the cast iron spiral staircase and automatically appreciated the intimacy and ambience. Service is excellent as is the choice of the very reasonably priced wine. We had the fish goujons to start as a sharer followed by salmon, leek parpadelle and Tuna,... More

Ate here for the first time on a Monday evening. The food was very good. Not numerous dishes on the menu but I prefer just a few dishes cooked well rather than an extensive menu trying to cover everything. That said, there is more than enough choice covering a range of Italian dishes and a selection of pasta dishes too.... More

We went to La Scala with the family to celebrate my husband's birthday. I reserved a table for 6.15pm as we like to eat early. We were among the first to arrive but it soon began to fill until every table was occupied. There are extra tables in an open area above accessed by an iron staircase. The restaurant is... More

We went to La Scala for my friends birthday. The food and service in this restaurant would rival the top London restaurants. The food is cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. One of the best meals I have eaten in a long time, would highly recommend!

Visited here last month with my partner it was my first visit, but he has been a regular for years. It was very busy and had a seat upstairs. The menu was very varied and it took me ages to choose cos of the choices. A two course meal for two people and wine was just over £60.00. Very reasonable.... More

It's the way it's cooked and delivered, nothing is too much trouble and the wine to go with the meal just ask Franco for the perfect match, and it will not be the most expensive and possibly not even on the wine list.

We visited La Scala on recommendation and were not disappointed. The restaurant is small but that adds to the ambiance. A varied menu and all allergy's catered for - they have gluten free pasta if required and cook food fresh to order. I cannot eat garlic but chef cooked me a tomato sauce minus it ( some Italian restaurants won't... More

They had a varied menu the food was fresh and cooked to order and presented really well. My husband's only complaint was that he didn't get enough vegetables with his meal other than that everything was very nice.
