Our first visit within a week of opening was not what we expected although we did give it a second try a few months later but if anything the food and service were dire. We are not surprised the restuarant is now closed although we are surprised it lasted as long as it did. The service levels were non existent... More

The Arlington West Bistro has now closed......Been a few times always good, so sad...Dover has lost a little gem, i hope someone else opens this little Bistro ,it was off the beaten track and i think that that was its downfall couldnt fault the food or the staff..such a shame ....will really miss the place.

If you have time on your hands waiting for your ferry then you could do a lot worse than a meal at the Arlington. Good wholesome cooking at surprisingly low prices.

My partner and I visited the restaurant just over a week ago on a mid week evening. I had recommended it to my partner on hearing good reviews and the restaurant is very local to where we live. On first impressions I wanted to turn around and walk straight back out, the restaurant was dark and cold, we were seated... More

Having read many good reviews for this restaurant we were disappointed not to enjoy our visit. The food here is not cheap. At these prices the burgers should be home made. I ordered the hot spicy chilli type burger and expected something really special. It was just a thin cash and carry type of budget burger with some chilli sauce... More

As a couple we had dined at the Bistro before and from the first time we ate there we have recommended the Bistro to a number of friends and colleagues. We decided some time back this would be the perfect venue for our daughter's 16th Birthday - it was the perfect venue and the girls had a perfect night -... More

We organised with the full support of the staff a surprise story for our middle son Shaun's 18th.The meal choices were fantastic ,the staff very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Our youngest asked for duck breast with gravy(he doesn't like the plum sauce),no beans, lots of extra squashed potatoes.(He is a really fussy eater, cleared his plate),My husband had the famous burger and... Well, where to start! I have been here a couple of times in the last year and will not be returning. Scruffy waitress who never smiled. It was so cold in there and the heater above the front door was ineffective. Staff talking amongst themselves and ignoring the fact I had to put my coat on. Food was just ok... More

This place is as my husband says very ok. It is not in the same league as other places we go in the local area. The service is friendly efficient and helpful, but most of what we ate [we think] was brought in frozen , nothing homemade going on. You can get very good food elsewhere for the same price.... More

My husband and I went to this lovely little restaurant a couple of days ago having looked it up on Trip Advisor. What a delight! Fantastic food, served by the friendly host/proprietor and female chef Heidi. I have never felt so welcome and at home before in restaurant. It truly is a little gem of a place and would recommend...
