Visited on a sunny day for lunch with my lady friends. I booked using my Tastecard which I love! It takes 50% off the total food bill here which saved us around £27! Using the card means one can make one's choice from the A La Carte menu, which isn't cheap but ended up being around £10 per person including... More

I arrived with friends for our allotted reservation time of 20:30 to be told that we would have to wait for our table as it was already occupied, so not a great start, I was with my wife and some long time friends, so we agreed to wait in the bar area for what was about 30 minutes and enjoyed... We came here to have a nice lunch, but the only thing we found was a waitress who doesn't have a clue of what is in the menu. My guest and I we ordered starter and main course, but after 20 minutes only my guest's starter was on the table, so I asked to the waitress and she promptly reply... More

We have now dined at this restaurant on two occasions. It is in a great location overlooking Dover harbour so best to book a table on the verandah if you want to experience the wonderful views and watch the cross channels ferries coming and going. We first dined there mid-week and had a very tasty meal which was well presented.... More

We are never disappointed when we come here. Both my husband and I had a beautifully cooked, delicious steak. Being my birthday they went the extra mile, table decorations a drink on them for us both and many birthday wishes from staff. We cannot fault them. Thank you all so much for topping off what has been a great way... More

What a wonderful evening. The food was wonderful and the wines a delight and plentiful. Well done to Jose for hosting the evening. Definitely do it again. And not forgetting the restaurant staff for their excellent service.

Lovely food, choice amazing, staff very friendly. My only niggle was that we took the kids aged 12 and 13 and thought £16.75 was a bit pricey as they dont eat adult proportions. Last time we enjoyed the bombay night children paid half as much. We were told after the meal that all children over 5 pay full price.

Bet western have turned what was a down at heel albeit grandiose hotel from the past into a modern slick operation. There is a trade off one loses the individuality and old worldly feel, but when you put that up against cleanliness and efficiency the new wins hands down. They do need more window seats, as they are nearly fought... More

My friend and I didn't have very high expectations of the afternoon tea at the Waterfront Restaurant, so we weren't actually disappointed. We booked here because we wanted to try somewhere local to us and some friends had said it was a nice place. The location was good and the glassed-in veranda was a great place to sit. There were... Group of 6, booking for 7pm. Bar and restaurant staff very attentive. Good selection of food and between us we covered each dish. Not one complaint or niggle. Food was superb. Venue also lovely. Light, spacious and comfortable. Bill was reasonable too. Definitely going again.
