Lunch out

After a weekend stuck at home I decided to go out with my partner to my local 'spoons'. While it was generally quite busy we did find a free table. We ordered and got our food very quickly. Overall quality was good for the price. We enjoyed our visit and I will be back to try the breakfast :)

Great place to go for a meal after a look round De Bradelei and the town. Service was friendly. Good to see the Duty Manager making himself known, working hard and checking everyone was happy. Food was served quickly, was delicious and plenty of it. Good value.

Visiting Dover for the day so decided to visit here as 'Spoons' are usually quite standard - cheap and cheerful. However we found the food was disappointing. We ordered roast of the day (opted for chicken) which has found its way back onto the menu and the bbq hotdog and chips. Sadly we both felt the chips were not great,... More

After doing some sale shopping I decided to treat myself to lunch here and rest my legs! I decided to have the Chicken Tikka Masala which was a huge plateful and i never thought I'd finish, but I did! It was delicious, piping hot and had 2 poppodums and a naan bread with it. i thoroughly enjoyed it and complemented... More

When you see dozens of dishes of all kinds of categories presented in a supermarket-flyer-style menu, you wonder how good the food can be. And we were positively surprised. The typical british dishes, fish&chips, sausage&mash, a beef burger and – yes - chicken tikka, all well done and colorfully arranged like the menu. Beer does not need special mentioning, since... We have been to the Eight Bells on many occasions, the beer is mediocre but cheap, the food is not great quality, but again it's cheap as chips. If you have a belly full of cheap ale, I'm sure it's alright. But with other good watering holes in the town, it's not the best by a long stretch.

By chance I was in this grotty town and found this pub in the town centre. Inside it was clean and well-attended by folk of all ages and there was all manner of local information boards and photographs adorning the walls which were a fascinating read. The pub is L-shaped and perhaps has rather a lot of tables in it,... More

As a regular goer of Weatherspoon's pubs, I went there and ordered a large English breakfast pretty much knowing what I was gonna get. The pub wasn't really busy serving food but was full of drunks even tho it was only 11:00 am so I expected to get served pretty quickly....!! I ordered breakfast and eventually found a seat amonst... Had a really good Christmas Dinner last night with old work colleagues. We go every year. I would say that the meals have always been good but yesterday's was the best yet! Very good value too. The waiter was very attentive and looked after us very well.
