I am aware it is difficult to be know what is vegetarian in this restaurant but when I asked the waiter if certain foods were veggie, he hadn't a clue. What I did have was a luke-warm sweetcorn soup which had been sweetened for some unknown reason. Asking for tea, I usually have a pot in other Chinese restaurants, I... More

We have been here several times in the past. Yes it was shut down a little while ago for mice, but hey what kitchen doesn't get them now and again, especially next to docks. Good selection, tasty food, good value poor staff. That about sums it up. The staff have always been useless, rude and sometimes just stupid in my... More

I was very disappointed the last time I ate at the Real China. I have found the last few times the food to be cold or barely heated. The quality of food seems to have gone downhill. I swear the chicken I had was either imitation chicken or processed. My husband and I used to love this restaurant and ate... More

Previous visits have been ok. Greeted enthusiastically on arrival. Announced I had a taste card & told they no longer take it although still advertise with taste card that they do. Poor selection of items (lunch choice apparently),very slow to replenish items. Most of the food was very bland & tasteless. Dining area not very clean. Toilets mostly in darkness... More

Arrived at 5:45pm on a Tuesday having read some of the reviews, so not entirely sure what to expect. The fact that there was only two other diners did put us off a little - but it was a random Tuesday. We ordered our drinks (bottomless soft drinks are extra but being bottomless we could go back and top up... More

The food was greasy and tasteless, the staff all looked misserable, our table was cleared before we had finished and our drinks thrown away, they did this to another customer while we was there and replaced their table with other customers, there was hardly any food and they were very slow at replacing what had been eaten, will never go... This is the worst Chinese restaurant ever. The food is nasty, greasy, bland. I did not witness any good being replaced/ replenished during my visit. The desserts on offer was cubed jelly or pre bought gateaux ( the type you buy frozen) Never before have I witnessed onion rings , chips, chicken nuggets as part of the buffet offering. Drinks... I admit that I am not the greatest fan of buffets but fixed price deals are attractive in a number of ways especially for families/groups. However, the food is not great for example - battered prawns still in their shells! Read the reviews, ask around and then make a decision with your eyes wide open.

Slightly scruffy, but great array of food, pleasant staff. Pretty full for very early evening !! Disabled Toilet filthy and almost unusable. Why do people not realise how dangerous a moving toilet seat is to a disabled person !!!!
