The restaurant has changed name: it's now Rafael's Restaurant (Rafael being owner and head chef). The layout is as it was, on one side are the trains getting in and out of the ancient Canterbury West Station on the other side the market below us. With all the buzz one might expect at Saturday lunch time. Don't go if you... More

This place smells lovely with all the different spices. I found the goods expensive but loved their ice cream. It is so good I now have my 8 year old grandson wanting to have there ice cream on special days. The restaurant does a wonderfully coffee and breakfasts.

This restaurant can be described as tatty, seating is on a mezzanine floor above the market area, scrubbed tables on bare floorboards, pretty noisy (we were there for an evening meal and during the day with the market open it would have been very noisy). Food and service were good, but with a bill of nearly £180 for 4 people,... More

We went to The Good Shed for brunch on a Sunday and ended up spending hours eating and browsing the fantastic range of food and drink that is for sale at the different stalls around the restaurant area. The brunch itself was great value and quality (the fried slice was deliciously sinful - I highly recommend it). You can choose... More

A dinner that is cooked FOR you, excellent service and very warm atmosphere. Very good value, highly recommended. All ingredients are from the Goods Shed market.

We had breakfast here, and it was very wholesome, fresh food, and good coffee. The service was excellent and we liked the way you could choose your own components. I loved the ginger, lime and apple juice. Wandering around the market area was fascinating and an amusing touch was the upright piano on the way to the (clean) loos. A... More

As soon as you enter the Goods Shed, just outside the city walls, you are surrounded by good food. The restaurant's menu draws on what has been brought in fresh every day - indeed, at various times during the day. The dishes are interesting and have a 'Kentish' flavour about them. We also drank excellent Kentish cider. Service was pleasant... More

We ate on a Saturday night fairly early and the farmers market had finished so I can't comment on what its like during the day but in the evening its a fantastic place to eat with a really nice atmosphere and great food - A fairly small menu with about 3-4 starters/mains/desert, everything we ate was lovely with great service... The produce is all over-priced even if it is "Farmer's Market". The inhouse restaurant is very expensive and not the best local value for money. The people also think rather a lot of themselves.

We'd planned to visit the Goods Shed with expectations of a spacious structure selling all kinds of foods and great places to sit down and eat.We were frankly shocked at how pokey the place was as most of the space in the middle is taken by a good selection of fruit and veg which was a good thing, with on...
