First time in an Ask restaurant and really impressed. We ate Al Fresco which was so nice as it was a glorious hot day. Great service and the food was excellent. Quite a lot of choice so that was great. I'd love to come back again!

Lovely meal in a lovely cosy building. Food was delicious and we used a voucher code. 2 courses for £10.95. The staff were very friendly too.

I have visited this Ask restaurant now several times and never been disappointed. It is my usual place to eat in Canterbury at lunchtime prior to going to see something at the Marlowe Theatre. The Staff are always hepful and the food delicious and hot.

I want somewhere that hasn't changed the way it operates over the years that we've been eating here. I want a varied menu, of good food, served by pleasant staff who deserve to be tipped. I want to be comfortable when I'm eating, in a welcoming environment. I want to walk in to a calm atmosphere from the bustle of... More

Set in an old house this could be a nice place, but it isn't. Having walked into what used to someone's downstairs corridor, there was no one to meet and greet so the elderly couple ahead of us went off to explore, but just got lost. When one of the staff did turn up we pointed to those who were... More

Very disappointed. My partner ordered a garlic pizza bread to start which had to be sent back immediately after he bit into a large clump of uncooked garlic. This was the case for the whole of the starter where you could see large amounts of uncooked garlic on the whole of the pizza bread. Having complained my partner then found... More

Outside and inside, the restaurant is really classy and has a feeling of calmness amidst the tourist-flooded High Street of Canterbury. I found the restaurant to be a nice escape from all the business. The menu is pretty varied and the prices are reasonable. The food is all very delicious as well! The only low point of the meal was... More

We visited this restaurant by chance and we all three loved the place. The decoration is minimal but elegant, the food excellent, the two young waitresses very polite, friendly and helpful. Although we stayed in Canterbury four days, we went to this restaurant twice for dinner and once for coffee. I must say I regretted that we did not go... More

Went to Ask Canterbury with a couple of friends for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant and although being there two and a half hours only two other people came in. Despite of this, the service was awfully slow, the waitress was particularly unenthusiastic to help and lacked basic customer service skills. After finishing our food which... More

The food was lovely, but the service was terrible! My friends and I went to Ask in Canterbury for our first time and sadly we will not be returning! Although the food was great itself, the service from the staff was absolutely appalling! Despite the restaurant being completely dead, the waitress failed to look after us appropriately. Two other ladies... More
