Read in a guide book the Goods Shed was a place to check out, and ended up deciding to eat at Rafael's (which is within it). My dinner was so incredibly delicious, I had to wipe the sauce off the plate with the remaining bread. It was fresh and light, while still having incredible depth of flavor. I was there... More

Visited the Goods Shed several times but decided to eat our breakfast there today. Absolutely delicious! The sausages were meaty and full of flavour, the bacon cooked to perfection and I can honestly say the scrambled eggs were the best I have ever tasted. Good coffee, thick crispy toast. Brilliant surroundings, excellent local produce . Will recommend and encourage friends... More

Had a delicious meal here with a group of friends. Really impressed by the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Also relieved that the food was all I had expected from reading other reviews as I had suggested the venue. Superb wine list too - and we loved the decor and ambience.

We have been here a couple of times and the food has always been delicious - cooked with expertise in a way that really brings out the flavour and uses tasty combinations. The surroundings and styling are quirky but I like that. If you like starched tablecloths and formal service then this is not for you. I agree with other... More

we went for lunch today as we had heard good things about the Goods Shed in which the restaurant is located. Overall the food was quite good if a little overpriced, however we had to wait a long time for dessert. My father just wanted 2 scoops of ice cream and we waited 15 minutes to arrive! The tall blonde... More

Good food, friendly service, pleasant environment. What's not to like.? Well, a lack of management for one. Friendliness does not make up for a lack of efficiency. We enjoyed lunch because we were here to enjoy ourselves, but at the prices charged, high by any standards, we expected a little more attention to detail. Overall impression was a place relying... I have never been disappointed, but proprietor and head chef Rafael surprises my friends and me time and again by steadily improving. The atmosphere is relaxed: no waiters in dinner jackets, half a flight of stairs above a busy indoor market, simple wooden tables and all that make it unlikely they will ever get a Michelin star. I've been in... More
