Have been before and have been happy with the experience.,.,.,.this time really disappointed .......before even food arrived, I noted that service was really poor : amateur, muddled, no coordination. My plate of eggs and bacon was not particularly appetising to look at: bacon cut thick with a large strip of raw looking fat on the edges almost overtaking the amount... More

I have had breakfast here several times over the past few months with friends and with family. Every time the experience has been great. You are given a menu which shows you all the different things available for breakfast (scrambled egg, sausage, bubble and squeak) and you tell the waiter/waitress which items you would like. The food arrives in good... More

Visited in June for my boyfriends birthday, had been wanting to go here for ages and I was not disappointed. Literally the whole thing was amazing. The food was just incredible. We had the lamb terrine to start and a dish that contained goats cheese and honey. Both were to die for!! I had roast lamb for main and my... More

Our B&B recommended us to this great Restaurant. She said we wouldn't need to book but to be honest I would definitely recommend doing so. We arrived tired and wet after a very trying day on the motorways in the rain. The sight of the warmth and just general ambience of the place was enough to raise our spirits. The... More

Came early which was good idea as although we had booked this place gets really busy. Had a delicious dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere watching the stall holders packing up at the end of the day. Noticed a stall that sold lunch boxes so came back the next morning and got a delicious lunch box picnic. Remember to get the... More

What a surprise! We came across this place via trip advisor and loved every bit of it! If you're coming by taxi ask for the goods shed in the train station, it's inside the market. The location is great, food amazing , pricing is fair service is nice (waitress could have smiled more). Highly recommended!

I have only been here once but will definitely return. Mainly because the menu changes daily and much of the well presented ingredients originate locally - some from the food stalls in the shed. Rafaels is on a mezzanine level overlooking the meat, fish, bread and many other items on sale. And very homely the eatery is too, with scrubbed... More

Set inside The Goods Shed, an old train shed that's now a farmers market, it has quite a unique setting, set amongst the stalls with it's high train shed ceilings. Serving some of the best modern European food in Canterbury, made with quality seasonal ingredients sourced from the farmer's market itself! With a three course menu consisting of 4-6 options... We visited The Goods Shed for breakfast before boarding the train at Canterbury West Station for Margate. We had a quick look around and settled for breakfast. This was fresh with local ingredients cooked to perfection. I would have loved to have had longer to look around. Maybe this would be the perfect excuse to return? 😉
