Wow, what a superb bar/restaurant, so relaxed, lovely atmosphere, staff can not do enough for you. Food is excellent. Great choice of beers. Dogs allowed, will definitely be going back when in the area.

Little gem tucked away in a quiet spot away from the bustle.Visited for a late lunch with friends. We were a party of 6 plus 2 babies and a 4 year old.We were made to feel welcome and not rushed. We settled on fish and chips for 3 and a variety of burgers for the other adults. The fish was of a decent... The quintessential English pub. Older folks, college students, professionals all gather here and they let you bring your dog. Serves up a good burger. Warm fire on a cold night. Friendly, neighborhood pub.

Had lunch in this pub today and it was great. The service was top notch and the food some of the best I've had in a long time. The prices are very reasonable and I would particularly recommend the lamb and mint pie! If you are in Canterbury it is well worth a stop for a drink or some lunch!

We had a work party of 15 go to the White Hart for our Christmas meal and we had a great time! The staff were polite and attentive but not overly so. The food was delicious and i would have given 5* but the plates were cold so we had to eat smartish. If you have a food allergy please... More

I didn't know it was capable of offering such poor service, respect and consideration. Had I known, I would never have dragged my family and friends who travelled great distances (I.e from Germany) to be there. Upon arrival, we were rudely approached, in a rushed fashion. This would have been fine had it only have been on arrival, but whilst... More

Staying in Canterbury have visited this lovely little local several times for beers, pies and good cheer. All were excellent. A lovely quaint pub that is friendly and serves delicious pies. Will I go there again - most certainly just a pity it isn't within walking distance from Australia!

We found this pub round the corner from where we were staying in Canterbury. We wandered and were warmly met by friendly people. We enjoyed a couple of excellent beers and checked out the menu. We came back for lunch the next day and had the Steak and Ale Pie with another couple of pints. Just great. The atmosphere is... More

Homemade steak and ale pie was very good...potato jackets have a good variety of toppings. Beer was a little watery. Service was friendly albeit not real attentive. Worth a trip if you are in the neighbourhood
