The food is always decent at the Beverlie and a good Pint of well kept Shepherd Neame to go with it. One of the oldest pubs around has a good atmosphere and whilst popular with students from the nearby University of Kent, there is a good mix of clientele, Log fires in the winter and pleasant garden when warmer. One... More

An old typical English pub in the village of Hackington 5 mins walk from my current residence. Hales PLace the country house has been pulled down and has become a housing estate.beside the pub are almshouses and across the road is the village church.

Took an interest into this pub as its pretty close. Been a few times, service has always been good. Ended up bringing friends into there and having nice weekday/sunday roast meals. Food was nice, and never had a bad meal. Staff have always been helpful.

A friend and I just had a very pleasant lunch here. First time here for us both. We couldn't fault anything, except that we were the only customers there. Perhaps Tuesday lunch is always quiet here. Took the girls to the pub for a quick lunchtime meal, homemade burgers served on wood, if the burgers are cold at the start, serving them on wood won't help, service was hit and miss, pub was dark and cold, bit like the food, none too clever, wouldn't rush back.
