Wow hardly able to walk out. An excellent venue, lovely pub and fantastic dining room upstairs, gorgeous high beamed banquet hall. Food was excellent, pulled pork starter was terrific. We both had burgers- chicken club and the huge bishops mitre. Treated ourselves to the 'must have' gypsy tart very good. All in all an excellent meal will not disappoint.

We had a wonderful time at The Parrot for our Christmas dinner. The Christmas decorations were quite sparse even though it was 21/12. We all enjoyed our meals which weren't indifferent from their regular menu, it is a cosy and cute pub nestled in the back streets of Canterbury with bags of character and a good wind selection to match.... We've had meals at The Parrot several times now - we've never been disappointed once. The service is really good too despite it getting quite hectic at times. Fantastic to stop by for a drink as well.

This was our favourite pub in Canterbury. A deliciously warm fire and nice decor, decent selection of ales, friendly and helpful bartender.. Exactly what we wanted for a Saturday afternoon!

I've long frequented the Parrot but recently standards have declined significantly and felt it needed mentioning. I recently ordered one of their pork sandwiches only to find to my disdain it was an open sandwich! Nooo Shepherd Neame - this isn't Sweden! This is the land of the classic pub sandwich (heck, sandwich is only down the road!) Not only... More

Some friends booked this for the four of us and I didn't know what to expect. I had the Crab Linguine and asked for it without Crayfish but extra crab instead and it was no trouble for the chef as food is cooked fresh. The staff were friendly, polite and we had great service even though my friends meal came... More

Found by chance on a cold and wet Sunday in December, we decided to have Sunday lunch. Although extremely busy and with no reservation the staff were very helpful and found us a table upstairs (fantastic room) right next to the log fire. We both ordered the roast rib of beef.. When the food arrived we were amazed at the... More

We were looking forward to letting our hair down and celebrating Christmas. We chose the Parrot for lunch because since the new chef arrived the food has been excellent. Maybe the person who took the booking is new or maybe there is poor communication system but the fizz on arrival was 'lost' apparently. Food allergies hadn't been accommodated in the... More

Great location, in historic Canterbury. Fantastic food, served in pretty large helpings. Real ale on tap, in one of the oldest buildings in Canterbury, circa 400 ad. The "Bishops Mitre" is a huge burger challenge, you won't be disappointed.
