What a beautiful old building, complete with a Roman wall in front! We have a family dinner here and the service was excellent. We also began our pub crawl which took us from The Parrot to the Dolphin and finally to the Miller's Arms. Three great pubs and the World Cup on tv. How perfect was that! We will be... More

Popped in as the pub was recommended. The pub is lovely and is a great space for relaxing only a short walk from the busy high street. We all ordered burgers of one kind and each was big and packed full of taste and flavour. Accompanied by chips and salad, all of us were stuffed. Also grabbed a cheeky lunch... More

Proper rib-sticking stuff. The Bishop's Mitre was outrageous but on the day after my daughters wedding it sorted out about 8 hangovers! The food here is getting better and better. It's a quiet pub - perfect for a date with grub.

Alongside the Dolphin, this is one of the very nice pubs in this neighborhood. It is a historical landmark and the inner court is very pleasant.

We stumbled across this place after a days shopping in town. We sat upstairs which is full of character. Staff were attentive and the food was lovely. Can´t believe I hadn´t been here before.

I have only ever been in this pub once before back in my university days a few years ago but made a visit recently to enjoy the food and theatre trip in Canterbury. My friend had booked a table for 12.30pm on a Thursday, the place was not busy so we decided to sit outside in the sun. We were... More

Went here for a meal on a Saturday night with my fiancée and friends and had an amazing time. We sat upstairs and in great settings we had fantastic food. My fiancée had been here before and had "The bishop's Mitre" burger which he raved about (I could see why when the table next to ours had one, looked amazing!)... More

My husband ordered liver and onions with mashed carrots and potatoes. He enjoyed his liver but the vegetables were overcooked (probably watery). I had a chicken and chorizo salad which was large and tasty.

We had a pleasant enough meal at this place. We had a chicken and hock pie, which was OK but lacking a bit of flavour. Service was cheerful, and we noted many other table's fare that looked tasty. Prices were reasonable. This is probably the oldest pub in Canterbury and seems pretty popular, so it is wise to book. We... More
