an authentic vegetarian experience. This restaurant has moved to 178 Burgate Canterbury

We had a lovely lunch in this little gem of a vegetarian restaurant, hidden in the Burgate parade of shops in Canterbury. The food was excellent, fresh and filling. The vegan cheesecakes were delicious. We tried both the lemon and pistachio and the salted caramel and vanillia. My husband who is... read more

New premises like a take-away with a few tables. Food is excellent, healthy, original, fresh and good value for money. Ultra-seasonal vegetarian heaven.

The food here is excellent. Always changing and something new to try. Whatever you have it is delicious! Just turned Vegan and today had a lovely burger and amazing salad with chick pea salad side, hummus, seeds nuts etc. I just wish this place was bigger but I got a seat so wasn't actually a problem. Reasonably priced. Good sized... More

Nice venue and decent portion sizes. Tasty food with a good variety of salad. I loved the raw, vegan gluten free cheesecake. Yum! Absolutely delicious. Meat eaters should go and see how fantastic veg can taste, you'll be surprised. My partner loves a burger but even he appreciates the lentil shepherds pie and veggie burger options.

Visited with a vegetarian friend. Tiny little cafe that seemed very popular with people being disappointed they couldn't get a table. We were lucky to get one and squeezed my 3 month olds stroller in next to it. We both had the red dragon bake (a spicy veggie shepherds pie) with accompanying salads. Really good variety of salads, but felt... More

Really good filling meals served with interesting salads. Good value. Wholesome vegan food. Also yummy cakes. All vegan except the odd vegetarian item. Would definitely visit again.

I love it here! The food is always wholesome and delicious (and constantly changing), the atmosphere is cosy and friendly, and it's good for people with food intolerances as well as vegetarians/vegans.

I'm unable to go to Canterbury often, but when I do go, I purposely go hungry so that I can go to this restaurant. I've not even thought about trying another restaurant in Canterbury because I love the Veg Box so much. Food is always tasty and healthy. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Prices are affordable.
