Cafe du Soleil is situated beside the river Stour in Canterbury occupying a former 18th century wool store and is accessed by its own bridge over the river. The building was restored with a grant from English Heritage and showcases the extensive use of reclaimed building material from the 14C city wall. Our cuisine draws influence from Provence in southern France, and from Italy, to create a modern Mediterranean cuisine. The menu changes with the seasons, and much of our food is cooked in our wood burning oven, fed with locally sourced wood from managed forest.

Amazing private dining experice, they went above and beyond!

I had a meal here and service was impeccable, food was exactly what I wanted and asked for and the house wine is a really really great red! There is plenty to choose from and to watch your food be taken from a wood fire oven straight to your table is an added bonus! Yum.

This was my fist visit to Cafe du Soleil and I was very impressed. The staff were very friendly and hospitable and the food was delicious- we were all very happy with what we had chosen. There was so much choice on the menu, but I went for the Pulled Pork Wood Fire pizza as it had so many different... More

Went for the early bird menu which was delicious. Finished by sharing a tasty desert. We were out with our family of three. My starter was aubergine followed by a main course of duck. Staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you.

A delightful setting, interesting menu, attentive staff: this is a gem of a restaurant right in the heart of town. Today's Specials Board had a couple of great Tuscan wines. Forget the national chains: this is food well worth getting to know.

Phoned ahead and booked and took advantage of the early evening two course meal for £12.95 if ordered before 6.30. On arrival met by a friendly hostess and quickly seated, water and drinks ordered and provided. I had the calamari salad for starter and Cassoulet for mains. Both really tasty and left me with no room for the sweet menu.... More

Had a pre theatre inner here and was very impressed. The staff were pleasant, atmosphere is good and the food was extremely tasty with generous servings. If you're going to the Marlow theatre then it's absolutely perfect.

Excellent restaurant Food excellent quality, well cooked, great flavours. Service fantastic and very reasonably priced particularly the extra items that run your bill up eg house wine, sparkling water, coffees. Would visit again and highly recommend.
