Went to Cafe du Soleil on Wednesday evening. Have been impressed with the food before, was delighted to try the new menu. My wife particularly enjoyed the new duck starter and my Guinea foul main course was superb. Sticky toffee pudding as good as ever! The service was excellent and I find wine list comprehensive and very good value. A... More

I went to cafe du Soleil last night with a group of friends and was very impressed. The atmosphere and ambience was cosy and buzzy. The building is really beautiful and historic situated on the river in the wonderful city of Canterbury. I had the salmon and crab sushi to start followed by braised beef which was delicious. We all... More

I have reviewed this restaurant several times as it helps to establish if the place is maintaining it's standards or slipping. I can unreservedly say that if anything it has improved since my last visit. I truly believe the Sushi starter I had was probably one of the best I have had recently and this isn't even a Japanese restaurant.... More

Visited in March and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The fish pizza was amazing and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Every time I visit Cafe du Soleil I am impressed with the food and the service. It is a lovely restaurant with beautiful interior. It is also my son's favourite so good for children too! Their pizzas are great!

I had tried Cafe Du Soleil before and had been disappointed with the food. However, we had a great meal this time round. The selection of mains is excellent and I found it hard to choose between 4 or 5 mains. In the end I went for rump steak. Cooked well, incredible amount of lovely creamy peppercorn sauce, delicious. Steak... More

I've been meaning to eat here since it opened, as it's such a lovely building and it is run by the same people as my old favourite, Cafe des Amis across the road. I was not disappointed. The menu was immediately attractive and I was easily persuaded to have a starter. The tofu salad was excellent and felt like it... More

Cafe du Soleil is one of my favorite places in Canterbury. I go there every week, and they have some of the most amazing dishes. They are a fusion cuisine restaurant, so you will get many different dishes, ranging from pizzas, steaks, pasta, burgers, fish, and more. Besides the variety, they have a special of the day or the week... More

We went here for our anniversary and loved the food - we both had brochette of lamb, it was wood fired and so had a lovely chargrilled flavour as well as being really juicy. The chips were really nice - cooked in duck fat - and it came with a ratatouille which went really well with the lamb. Dessert was... More

Recently had a night out in this restaurant with four friends. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly and professional staff with amazing food. I would recommend an evening at Cafe du Soleil to anyone. Great range of local sourced food and wine, definitely 10/10 and certainly one of the best restaurants in Canterbury. All credit to David and his team.
