We stumbled upon this restaurant on a short break trip to Canterbury. The atmosphere was good and staff welcoming. Each dish we ate had diversity, taste and excellent presentation. Even the salad... More

Our first visit to Canterbury which turned out to be a real 'foodie heaven' !! Excellent restaurants, many of them and varied. Had pre-booked two restaurants (Chapman's, Wheelers in Whitstable) following pre visit research. Deeson's was not one and in fact didn't come up during my on-line general search. Found this restaurant on the way to Evensong in the Cathedral.... More

We had not been for a while but went there to celebrate my mothers birthday... Not only were they most accomodating in helping us with the suprise but they also went that extra mile. The service was faultless and they were on the ball considering we were all having different drinks throughout the evening. We never had an empty glass!!... More

Not too formal, food of a good quality. Scallop starter and Lamb mains were both delicious. Staff attentive and gave good service. Would definitely recommend.

We have been here several times over the past few years and always found the food to be reliable, but more recently we think the portions are shrinking and it is becoming pricey compared to other venues of a similar quality nearby. Would definitely recommend but I hope the portions to return to what they were.

We went to Deesons again for my Birthday last month and had some excellent food. However there was a 55 minute wait between our starters and our mains which always lets the evening down, and no explanation from the staff. It wasn't too busy either. What a shame, but will definitely give it another go.

Spent a day in Canterbury and liked the look of this restaurant. It was an excellent choice. Lots of space, attractive decor, friendly staff and great food and English wine. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you.

I visited in December for a girls work Christmas dinner. I was very very poorly with flu but really didn't want to let the girls down. The staff are very attentive and even asked if I would like a lemsip! The food and table settings were lovely. I will be returning very soon now that my tastebuds have come back!... More

This restaurant was really good. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious!!! They served bread without extra charge. If you eat between 5pm and 7pm, you can ask for a pre-theatre menu (2 courses £18, 3 courses £23). It really enjoyed this place, the duck was one of the best and the chocolate mousse was just "DROP DEAD... More
