My husband and I had a lovely anniversary lunch at this restaurant. The food was excellent and very different. They use where possible locally sourced foods and it shows. The staff are attentive and service is excellent. The toilets by which I am afraid I base all my restaurant experiences, are good, all in all a good place to go... More

I have eaten at Deeson's on several occasions and highly recommend it for any adult occasion. Great, traditionally English food; excellent, knowledgeable service; very pleasant environment - sometimes with enjoyable yet unintrusive live music; reasonable prices for high class cuisine.

Our favourite place in Canterbury. Inventive tasty dishes. Locally sourced with interesting combinations. Nice place to take visitors from abroad as lots of traditionaly British food. Food is always beautifully presented by friendly, helpful staff. The lunchtime set menu is always good value. Nice to sit by the huge window and watch the world go by.

Very enjoyable meals had here, both for a large group (20+) during a research workshop and a smaller family celebration.

Great restaurant, centrally located in Canterbury. The staff are friendly and the welcome warm. The menu is well thought out, and not too extensive. The food is beautifully prepared, using predominantly local produce, and it was scrummy! The onion gravy on my pork brought back memories of my childhood, when all we ate was English cuisine. The selection of wines... More

We chose this restaurant because of its reputation, and the food was certainly very good, well cooked, and attractively presented. Perhaps the waiting staff were having an off night, but they certainly detracted from our enjoyment. As requested, they brought us wine and water, but they failed to pour the water. Later in the meal we asked for more wine,... More

This is really a great restaurant in a fantastic location location in Canterbury. A very sophisticated evening menu at a great price. We has the beef and lamb as mains and two fantastic starters of wood pigeon and a fish platter, great, great value and so tasty. The service was fantastic, we could not fault and would thoroughly recommend

We ate from the pre theatre menu last night in a party of 8 to celebrate a friend's birthday. We are regulars at Deesons and have never been disappointed. The service is always great, friendly and attentive without being pushy or overbearing. Last night the restaurant was packed but the service was faultless, all our meals came out together so... More
