We were lucky to get in without a reservation and even luckier to be near the excellent pianist who really made our evening. The food was very good with the local lamb dish being beautifully cooked and presented. The service was good although a trainee waiter was struggling a little at times on the night we visited. Highly recommended

My wife and I stopped here for lunch on Monday and we are very pleased we did. We have eaten here before but only in the evenings. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel like special customers. The food as always was freshly cooked and very nicely presented. When ordering our meal, (we only had a main course), the... More

Popped in on the of chance of getting a table on a very busy day. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was homely. we have never eaten here before and we will definitely be going back and telling all our friends and family about the restaurant. This restaurant offers great food and the service is really friendly and very good. Just one small complaint Cheese and biscuits means cheese with biscuits. They were happy to give us more biscuits, but its a very small point of criticism. The guy on the old Joanna was pretty good to!

We had not dinned here for sometime so being in Canterbury we decided to have dinner. This was a weekday but the restaurant was still very busy so a good sign. The restaurant had a nice buzz to it and the staff were kept busy but at no time did anyone have to wait, the staff were very friendly and... More

What a wonderful meal we had a Deesons.... The welcome, the menu, the staff were all brilliant. Scallops were sublime....the trio of pork was delicious and the trio of chocolate to finish complemented my evening perfectly! The veggie main could maybe benefit from some crunch...maybe an autumnal crumble little addition..... That said..it was stunning! The locally produced Brut is really... More

The warmest of welcomes, faultless but relaxed service, a great ambience....but above all, some of the best food we've eaten in a long time. (And we've eaten in some amazing restaurants in our time). An interesting and varied menu, fresh local produce, beautifully presented - and all at a fair price. This was a trial visit as we had already... More

We were a group of 7, ranging in age from 12 to 84. Deeson's has a lovely atmosphere and decor. The tables are generously sized and not all squeezed in next to each other. The staff were all excellent - attentive but not too much. And the food was just fantastic and enjoyed by all!! We're not local, but with... More
