Loved the fact that everything was locally sourced. Very comfortable and relaxing evening - welcoming and attentive service and excellent food. Lamb and pork were both delicious. Good well priced wine list. What more could we want. Try the local rhubarb vodka liqueur.

Have eaten in there on two occasions now and both times food has been good. The service is very friendly and would highly recommend a visit.

We visited Deeson's for dinner for a friend's 30th. The staff were welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. But the really fantastic thing about this place is the food!! I had the salt marsh lamb and it was honestly the best meal I've ever had. Both presentation and taste were perfect!! Thanks Deeson's, we'll be back!!

Visited Deesons for a family birthday meal, it's the second time I've been there and it won't be the last. Great atmosphere in this restaurant situated in the centre of Canterbury's historical streets. The food and service cannot be faulted. Portions are just right, not too big so that you can enjoy everything on the plate and it is all... More

In Canterbury for the night and decided to eat here. Menu is modern British with plenty of locally produced produce, some of which is from their own farm. Dishes are beautifully presented. Good selection of English wines

Stayed overnight in Cantebury on way to holiday in France. Picked Deesons from reviews on tripadvisor. Highly recommend this restaurant as we went on a tuesday night as a party of three ab Nd were pleasantly surprised by quality of food, and highly recommend the deserts. The ambiance was wonderful and live pianist was excellent.

We visited Deesons for the first time on 13th October 2014 and found it to be outstanding. Service was first rate with all staff, Manager included very friendly and attentive. The food itself was fresh, well cooked and of high quality. We even got to 'test' a new locally produced cider vinegar with our fries which was admittedly very nice.... More

Well cooked, imaginatively presented, locally sourced food. A quality home-cooked feel. Staff were considerate and eager to help. We happened to pass by at Saturday lunchtime on a break in Canterbury and came in on the off-chance. Glad we did. You're spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants hereabouts but judging from our experience this place is a good... More

My partner and I managed to get an impromptu table here on a Saturday night having exhausted the humdrum options along Canterbury High Street. What an inspired and lucky choice it turned out to be. The food was excellent and cooked to order, the wine was superb and the service was friendly and courteous. It is a nice civilised oasis... More
