We had two meals at Deeson's and the food and service were very good, very efficient management. Just one thing let them down and the food needs to be served hotter, I feel after resting and plating the food had cooled too much, I mentioned this and it seemed to be taken on board, we would use this restaurant again... I've lived in Canterbury for many years and had never been to Deeson's. I am pleased to say that I had an amazing meal and I wish I had gone many years ago. It was a little pricey but you pay for what you get. The standard of the food was extremely good. I never finish off my dinner usually... More

Had 2 meals here a couple of weeks apart. Great staff and really good food. Plenty of choice on an English cuisine menu and good choice of wines, including excellent English wines. Not cheap but good value . They did seem to have a tendency to oversalt the food, so a request not to do so helped hugely. Recommended.

Dined with my wife for lunch. Good selection of dishes. Pleasant ambience. All dishes well made, well presented, and well seasoned. Interesting dishes as well. The broccoli / cheese and walnut tart was excellent. The dark chocolate brownie with ice cream was high quality. The reason they do not get 5 stars is their wine selection - it's based on... More

I regularly choose Deeson's as the food is always excellent, as is the service. Local produce is well cooked and presented with a menu that shows imagination. The pre- theatre menu is good value. The only downside is that you need to book to guarantee a table as it is popular even mid- week

We had booked this restaurant because it specialises in high quality local produce, and we were not disappointed. The menu is imaginative and very well thought out. I had the "Bunkers" pork platter as my main course, it was, frankly, probably the best dish I have had in any restaurant for several years! An interesting blend of different cuts and... More

I took a guest to dinner to say "thank-you" for his team's delivery of excellent, professional service to me. I thus wanted excellent and professional service from my restaurant of choice. Deeson's lived up to its reputation and provided a really lovely meal with a very decent wine and a friendly, welcoming service that struck the right balance between distance... More

Our food and the service was faultless, a brilliant evening. You do need to book here for dinner but it's well worth it! :)

Beautifully presented, imaginative food served in a pleasantly casual atmosphere. Good sized portions of excellently cooked dishes with lots of "wow factor". The 4 of us all chose differently so covered a lot of the menu. My perfect roast loin of beef on horseradish mash served with crunchy veg and a delicious taragon cream was accompanied by the most exquisite... More
