We were a party of four, got a nice table at the window. Starters (pigeon, cheese croquettes and soup) were good. The soup needed more seasoning and the pigeon was rather a small portion. Mains were delicious lamb and porc, two had cod. The cod was perfectly cooked, but the sauce to sour... Desert... read more

An excellent city centre restaurant with great food, a good wine list and pleasant attentive staff. All the tables are positioned to give you plenty of space and privacy if needed. the menu covers all meats, fish and vegetarian options and is traditional British fare.

We went as a large party of 20+ people and had a limited set menu which we chose in advance. They managed to get all our food to us without a hitch and the quality was great. the staff were very patient and we had a lovely evening.

Their set menu is quite good value at £23 for 3 courses. We had two fresh sardines on toast with some salsa and roquette as a starter that was the least convincing of the three dishes. It was a bit tasteless and served on a thin dry piece of toast. This was followed by a plaice that was competently prepared... More

We had lunch in Deeson's. Food was nice, we had duck. Well prepared. The glass of wine was OK, the espresso to finish it was good. However, service was not more than average. Furthermore we noticed that the floor in the restaurant was really greasy and slippery. So what does this say about their standard of cleaning?

If you're looking for a fine dining experience is Canterbury, this is the best place for it, in my opinion. The food is delicious and interesting and, although not cheap it is good value for money. It has a lovely atmosphere, you will often be able to enjoy listening to the piano being played whilst you dine. The service is... More

Great service, lovely premises however I found their menu limited. They had a fixed price 2/3 courses which were reasonably priced but for a carnivore gathers was only one option.

Dined at this restaurant last night with a group of work colleagues in a private room upstairs. The restaurant is located in the historical area of Canterbury. Most tables are on the ground floor, with private rooms on the upper floors. Given the large group we had to choose our dishes in advance. I had celeriac soup with croutons (very... More
