office Christmas lunch last Friday was absolutely lovely. Each course was perfectly cooked and presented. I loved the festive, rustic table decorations.

My first visit to Canterbury and we picked out Deesons from the other choices as it seemed to offer something a little different to the norm. We were not disappointed. My smoked duck starter tasted only of smoke which was far too overpowering but my partner's smoke mackerel 3 ways was excellent. The pork belly / cheek dish was fantastic... More

As I was eating before 7.00pm the pre -theatre menu was still available. Deeson's claims to offer the best of British cuisine. I found no reason to doubt this. I had a Blue Oxford cheese salad as a starter and a huge cod and salmon fish cake as a main, both were very good. The door is tastefully subdued and... More

I went to this Restaurant on Friday night for their Christmas Menu in a party of 18 people. As some-one who holds good customer service dear to their heart I wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, our waiters were attentive for the duration of our meal. The meal itself was fantastic, all brought out piping... More

We ate here 2 times, both wore amazing. But be aware... you have to love the relative heavy English cuisine! If that's the case: GO HERE

A group of us arrived for a pre Christmas meal and were so looking forward to the meal of the year served in one of Canterbury's finest. We all felt let down by the food quality. A positive is all waiting staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble First the starters, The Haddock Pate was warm and... More

Went here for my birthday my two boys booked it and had a great meal, people complain about pigeon and it was five star, and you expect smaller portions from a top class restaurant and I wouldn't expect to get in without booking,so if you want good food you've found the place!!

We booked this as a special treat. We were sat near the kitchen exit so we had a constant stream of staff passing us. The starter I had were scallops. Very tasty but only two for £9!. For mains my wife had the beef which was good but the accompanying vegetables were not hot. I had lamb done three ways.... More

I've always wanted to try out Deeson's as I have never heard a bad word about it. I visited with a friend and had a three course meal both accompanied by a bottled beer which was recommended by our server. My main which was the Pork Bunker was to die for - pork served in different ways, crackling, pulled pork,... More

Has taken me some time to write this review because I've eaten at Deesons on a few occasions, it's always been our "go to" restaurant in Canterbury, and I'm quite loyal. Our last two visits have been really disappointing; food has been sub standard for this restaurant and the service on the last visit was really lacklustre. We will go... More
