Azouma, a Moroccan/Lebanese restaurant located on Church Street in Canterbury, is a calming haven from the bustle of every day life. The traditional dining room, decorated with lanterns and throw cushions, is perfect for romantic dinners, relaxed business lunches, family get-togethers and fun celebrations. The exotic menu at Azouma features regional dishes from Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria and Turkey – favourite dishes include the succulent Tagine Djej Bzetoun – slow-cooked chicken with piqant lemon and olives; and the Samakeh Harrah – sea bass baked in traditional Lebanese style. There is also a wonderful selection of mezze, delicate cous cous dishes, spicy char-grills and delicious pastries, all complimented by fine wines and beers from Arabia and North Africa.

In spite of living locally this was our first visit to Azouma but it certainly wont be our last. Sick of turkey leftovers (we visited between Christmas and New Year) we wanted something different and we certainly got that. The service was efficient and unobtrusive. The food was clearly freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! We had three courses, several drinks... More

Although I've never actually dined in the restaurant (on my to-do list), I have ordered takeaway from Azouma many times. The delivery driver is always polite, and the food is always hot and delicious! Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Canterbury.

We live in Canterbury, and visit Azouma about once a month, because as a family we find it the best all-round restaurant in town. The buffet is helpful because there is no waiting time, and you see what you get before you choose it! The food is scrumptious and varied, with lovely sauces. The environs and decor are beautifully authentic... More

I wouldn't say we are regulars, on the contrary we only visit once a year, usually on Valentines Day. We drive 60 miles from London just for our Azouma fix! We always have the buffet and it has never disappointed us, lots of tasty dishes to choose from. The warmth and friendliness of the staff and in particular the manager,... More

Came here for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and it was so lovely! We had the buffet lunch which was extremely good value for money. The waitress who served us was very friendly and there was a good selection of food. I especially recommend the creamy chicken tagine! Will definitely be coming her again.

I took my friends and family for lunch and the food was amazing with excellent service and a very friendly staff who take the time to explain food and its ingredients to you. The internal decorations are great and it was great value for money. Great experience.
