Azouma, a Moroccan/Lebanese restaurant located on Church Street in Canterbury, is a calming haven from the bustle of every day life. The traditional dining room, decorated with lanterns and throw cushions, is perfect for romantic dinners, relaxed business lunches, family get-togethers and fun celebrations. The exotic menu at Azouma features regional dishes from Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria and Turkey – favourite dishes include the succulent Tagine Djej Bzetoun – slow-cooked chicken with piqant lemon and olives; and the Samakeh Harrah – sea bass baked in traditional Lebanese style. There is also a wonderful selection of mezze, delicate cous cous dishes, spicy char-grills and delicious pastries, all complimented by fine wines and beers from Arabia and North Africa.

We had a lovely family dinner to celebrate our daughter's graduation (she had been several times before). The food was very tasty. We shared platters to start and then enjoyed tagines and kebabs, followed by home made baklava and ice cream. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive and it wa very good value. Would definitely visit... More

Booked for a Tuesday evening, quiet of course mid week but no less attentive. Ordered the set meal, three delicious courses. Starters wonderful a lovely selection. Main dish of tagine, piping hot and faultless. Would recommend and will return.

Went along for the lunch time buffet. The service is friendly but not over powering, surroundings are lovely and food great. Will definitely return again.

I visited a few days ago with my mum and sister in law, I chose the Lamb Shish Kebab with taktouka and basil sauce and wedges, it was gorgeous! Very polite and friendly service too. Definately worth a visit!

I've been to Azouma maybe 4-5 times now, and prior to now I've loved every visit. However, since they've taken away one of the set menus, which used to be a fantastic way of experiencing many areas of the menu in one sitting, in place of a more expensive and less versatile set menu, I'm not so impressed. In addition,I... More
