Azouma, a Moroccan/Lebanese restaurant located on Church Street in Canterbury, is a calming haven from the bustle of every day life. The traditional dining room, decorated with lanterns and throw cushions, is perfect for romantic dinners, relaxed business lunches, family get-togethers and fun celebrations. The exotic menu at Azouma features regional dishes from Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria and Turkey – favourite dishes include the succulent Tagine Djej Bzetoun – slow-cooked chicken with piqant lemon and olives; and the Samakeh Harrah – sea bass baked in traditional Lebanese style. There is also a wonderful selection of mezze, delicate cous cous dishes, spicy char-grills and delicious pastries, all complimented by fine wines and beers from Arabia and North Africa.

Cheap and Tasty

Me and my girlfriend thought we would try somewhere new tonight and we're glad we did. Fantastic starters, mains and deserts which filled us up for a great price. We were served by a polite waiter who was able to answer any questions we had about the dishes that interested us. Our waiter also gave... read more

Gorgeous food! I had some little cheese pastries to start which were tasty and beautifully cooked. For mains I would highly recommend the fish tagine. It was perfectly seasoned and I was served a generous portion, which was piping hot in a nice clay dish. Very authentic! I also had some Mediterranean couscous on the side, which complimented my meal... More

A large group of us had a meal there last night. It was delicious, they put a large choice of starters, and then main courses on the table, plenty for everyone. The food was delicious, the meat was melting in our mouth. Loved it. The atmosphere was great, Belly Dancing an added bonus. The service was excellent. We has a... More

Honestly the most disgusting meal I've ever had. It was very clear that food served for takeaway is sub par, most oft was burnt. The other half had so much grease it was inedible, in fact the small portion we did have made us feel incredibly nauseous due to the grease. And on top of that, the food was late... More

I went to this place for the all you can eat buffet and found it to be one of the best places that I have been locally. I can't fault it. The food was delicious and plentiful. As its a buffet we didn't need much service but what we did have was always good. I loved it so much I... More

Having been off restaurants and takeaway for Lent, we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway from Azouma earlier this week as we have enjoyed food from here in the past. Was told it would take 45-50mins to arrive, but it took 1 hr 15mins. Was cold and the most disgusting meal I've had. Food was cold, the sambouseks didn't... More
