Reliable and nice

If you need something quick and local then this is the place. You can count in the food being tasty and hot - on the table pronto. Nothing fancy though.

Having eaten at cosa nostra multiple times, I would highly recommend the food. It's a little crammed inside, so ensure you book in advance & grab a table outside of its a sunny day.

We had dinner at La Cosa Nostra and we were very disappointed by the food. The pizzas were below average with low quality ingredients (e.g. sausage and ham was too salty). The atmosphere and service were OK but certainly nothing to rave about. The only good surprise was the total of the bill which was reasonable. My wife is half... More

Three of us booked a table for last Saturday on the strength of what TA writers have said and we were not disappointed. We were greeted in a very friendly and inviting manner. The menu and specials were clearly displayed and very reasonably priced and provided a good range to choose from. The service was very good and the intervals... More

Have just tried pizza and starters but really tasty and good value (especially at lunch). Decor is simple but it is a locally run place and nice quiet location between station and town.

No too fancy but nicish We ordered the swordfish and Vitello Milanese. Both was ok It tasted homemade. Maybe some of the Italian homemmade has been adjusted to British taste. The dessert was very amazing (the cake "something da nonna") The vine was very nice. Maybe a bit pricey The staff was nice and chatty On a Wednesday night no... More

If you want a quick authentic bite to eat this place is perfect. Busy not pretentious, good atmosphere and service. Pizza is really good and they do an early bird special menu offer.

Had been meaning to come here for a while and so glad we did. The food was excellent. Cooked perfectly, fantastic flavours and good ingredients. Starters of baked Camembert and calamari to start. Both had a great taste and there was plenty there. Mains of one of the pizzas on the specials menu and linguine marinara - lots of seafood... More

Been here a few times now, the chap that serves is super friendly and seems like a genuinely lovely guy! The pizza is great, as are the other dishes to be fair. You can go for a quick meal or have a more relaxed one, they pick up on this and seem to serve you just at the right time... More

Firstly a confession! I used to eat at this family Italian Restaurant often many years ago. Back then if your table wasn't ready they told you to pop up the road to the pub on the corner and have a drink and they would come and get you when your table was ready. Then something happened, I can't remember what,... More
