Worth the wait

We have been meaning to visit this Italian trattoria for ages and it was certainly worth the wait! Authentic Italian food and very friendly Italian staff. Best pizza we have eaten in St. Albans and the meal very reasonably priced. A great local Italian and we will definitely be back.

I've been coming here for a few years now and the food is still as good as the first time I visited. The staff are real characters and all really friendly. Plus the food is very reasonably priced as well. I'll be visiting here for many years to come, even if I'm not living in St Albans!

Cosa Nostra was huge fun, the food and wine were excellent and the ambience great. We were a tiny bit rushed as we had made a late booking for 4 in what was already a busy evening , the staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and efficient, all in all very good, we will give ourselves more time next... I visited last week -my first ever visit. We visited on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was busy. While we did not have reservations , I am advised that it is best to book if wanting a table at the weekend. I ate the Pasta Arrabiata which was on the spicy side and my companion had Pasta with a... Have eaten at Cosa Nostra several times over the last five years and have always enjoyed the experience. Our daughter had booked our table for a triple birthday celebration and was not made aware of any time limit to our dining. We all enjoyed a very pleasant meal with drinks in a popular, busy restaurant. When the time came for... More

We've being going to the Cosa Nostra for years and it's our default choice for pizza in St Albans. Yes, it's noisy and yes, the tables are close together, but we don't go for fine dining, we go for a tasty and cheap pizza, a bottle of house red (which we're sure they leave by the oven!), and, if we're... Went last night with friends got there a bit early and the place was heaving. The customers are well trained and quit their tables on time so we didn't have to wait too long.Service is fast, attentive and friendly. The food is good, my insalata de mare was excellent, the vitello less so as it was rather dry and not overly generous... More

We ate here tonight for the first time and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, relaxed and bustling, has an authentic Italian feel to it. We ate deep fried mozarella balls, a fantastic salad and shared a pizza with three drink drinks and dessert and a peppermint tea, all for just under £40. The pizza and salad were superb. Friendly staff.... More

A group of us went here on a Saturday night and I could not fault the place. The food was fantastic, the staff were accommodating and extremely friendly. It's a good place to go with all ages. Also the menu is very reasonably priced. Will be going back many a time!!!
